Friends of Clatterbridge Charitable organisation supporting Wirral University Teaching Hospital (WUTH) Clatterbridge.

Founded in 1954, run by volunteers raising funds to purchase medical equipment for the Clatterbridge site for which the NHS Hospital Trust does not have a budget.

We continue to be so grateful to Margaret and Bob Tarrant for all their hard work at the Sensory Garden. We know how much it is appreciated by Clatterbridge Rehabilitation Centre staff, patients and visitors as well. Today they are pictured taking a well earned rest, as everything in the garden is looking beautiful! Pics by our Chair, Amanda Rummery.

We would like to thank MacMillan Cancer Support Charity for kindly agreeing to Karen Winrow and Mark Spiers joining them at Alderley Lawn Tennis Club in Meols for Saturday's coffee morning where Karen and Mark promoted their hand-made decorations. Autumnal and Christmas pine wreaths plus driftwood trees elicited a great response. Pictured also is Judy Shepherd who joined them from our Committee. Grateful thanks to MacMillan, the Tennis Club and to Karen and Mark for their wonderful creations.

The early team really did us proud this morning setting up a wonderful display. Today we were at Bromborough ASDA in the Croft Retail Park from 10am until 3pm. Mark Spiers, Susan Cox (nee James), John Cox and Karen Winrow are all pictured plus Margaret and Bob Tarrant, Chris Ball and Dave Adams from later in the day but thanks also to Judy Shepherd and Pam Williams for putting in shifts. All monies raised for the benefit of the patients and staff at the Clatterbridge Health Park on the Wirral. UPDATE - £179.74 was collected.

This is Staff Nurse Susan Peters today accepting part of a Bank Holiday Afternoon Tea for the patients on M1 Ward, provided by the Friends of Clatterbridge.

Susan says "I would like to thank the Friends of Clatterbridge for providing this Afternoon Tea and for all support they have provided to the Ward this year. It is greatly appreciated by both patients and staff, as it makes such a difference. Thank you all so much."

We are back at Gordale Garden Centre this weekend (August 15th & 16th) with our collecting buckets.

At our AGM last month our Treasurer gave details of £90,000 of grants which we provided on the Clatterbridge Health Park in the financial year 2025/26. We are all volunteers and all monies raised go towards providing goods, equipment and services for patients, staff and residents.

We will be there between 10am and 3pm on both days. Do support us! Thank you.
