🎬🍿 NEW ARTWORK UNVEILED AT PORT SUNLIGHT STATION! 🚉❤️

We’re really proud to unveil a fantastic new piece of artwork at Port Sunlight Station in partnership with our friends at Snips Movies 🎥🎞️

The artwork was created by local artist Garrett Gibson! 👏

Snips is one of just two video rental stores left in the UK and one of only a handful remaining anywhere in the world. To have such a unique independent business right here in Bebington is something worth celebrating, and we’re delighted to help shine a spotlight on it for the thousands of passengers who pass through the station each week.

Dave has supported Love Bebington from day one. Over the years, he and the wonderful customers of Snips have helped raise funds for our projects through collection tins in the shop, and we’d like to say a huge thank you for all of your support over the last three years. It really does make a difference. 🙏

This is just the latest step in our plans for Port Sunlight Station. Over the coming weeks and months we’ll be unveiling more artwork, new planters sponsored by more incredible local businesses and further improvements to help make the station a place that reflects the creativity, heritage and community spirit of our area. Watch this space! 👀

A huge thank you to Gareth for the incredible artwork, to Dave and everyone at Snips Movies for their continued support, and to our partners at Merseyrail for helping us bring these projects to life.

💚 A huge thank you to our friends at Cohens Chemist Bebington on Broadway, who have once again been raising money for Love Bebington through their in-store book sale! 📚

We recently collected the latest donation pot and were amazed to find that an incredible £115 had been raised. 👏🤗

A massive thank you to Jemma, Ange, Kera and all of the wonderful customers who have supported the book sale. Every penny raised helps us continue our work caring for and improving public spaces across Bebington and the surrounding area. 🌸🌿

The money previously raised through the book sale helped us install the beautiful floral planter outside Cohens on Broadway, which they now proudly sponsor. It's a wonderful example of how local businesses and local residents can work together to make a positive difference to our community. 🌷❤️

Cohens are fantastic supporters of the local community and we're incredibly grateful for everything they do to help local groups and charities. If you're passing by, why not pop in, pick up a book and support a great local cause at the same time? 📚

Thank you again for your continued support – it really does make a difference.

We had a great afternoon at Liverpool Central Station today helping showcase Merseyrail in Bloom on what is 🌼🌷🚉

It was great to meet so many commuters from all across the Merseyrail network and to share our story with them. It’s only with the help of Merseyrail and the support of its commuters that we’ve been able to establish the Love Our Railways initiative and that we’re able to do the work that we do at the stations. 💛

We helped giveaway lots of fantastic Merseyrail merchandise and it was so lovely to hear the lovely comments from everyone about our work.

Watch this space for more updates on our ‘Love Our Railways’ work coming very soon. 👀

What an absolutely incredible day we had over the bank holiday weekend at the Higher Bebington Park Crazy Golf Course 💚⛳️

Nearly 30 volunteers came together to help us repaint all 15 greens across the course ready for another fantastic summer in the park — and we honestly couldn’t be prouder of what was achieved together.

A massive thank you to every single person who gave up their time to help. The atmosphere throughout the day was brilliant and it was amazing to see so many people coming together to support a community project that means so much to so many local families.

We’d particularly like to thank Heart 4 Refugees who joined us, along with one of their service users. Heart for Refugees do incredible work helping asylum seekers and refugees rebuild their lives and improve wellbeing through support and empowerment. A huge thank you to Vicky for all of her support — it was lovely to have you involved.

A huge thank you as well to Rotary Club of the City of Liverpool, particularly Alison Lui for coming along and getting stuck in with the work. A huge thank you to all the Rotary Club for its support.

Special mention also to Wirral Grammar School for Boys pupil, Dylan, who joined us. Dylan completed Duke of Edinburgh volunteering hours with us and did an absolutely fantastic job throughout the day — it was a pleasure to have you with us.

A massive thank you to our friends at Brackenwood Golf Club who recently raised an amazing £170 towards this year’s restoration work. Particular thanks to club secretary Keith who has been an incredible supporter of the project and also came down to volunteer his time and help us out.

A huge thank you as well to Angie, Kim and the girls from Fit for all Bootcamp Bebington who have once again been incredible supporters of the project. They supported us last year during the original restoration and once again gave up their time to help us continue improving the course.

Thank you also to Councillor Judith Grier for coming along today to support the project and to represent the Bebington councillors, all of whom have supported the work taking place at the course.

We’d also like to thank Bebington Bowling Club and Chair Phil for once again allowing our volunteers access to the club facilities throughout the day. Your support really is hugely appreciated.

A massive thank you to our partners at Wirral Borough Council, particularly Parks Manager Carl Davies, who continues to support so much of the work we do across the community.

We were also honoured to be joined today by the lovely Hannah 🐶 who is currently being fostered by Love Bebington stalwart Phil Dain through Celandine Wood Animal Rescue. Hannah definitely kept our spirits high throughout the day and she got plenty of fuss and attention from our volunteers! Please do give Celandine Wood Animal Rescue a follow and support the amazing work they do.

The freshly painted greens are now looking fantastic and, in a couple of weeks, the brilliant Inky pickles and Lou Cross will be joining us to help refresh the murals and mosaics around the course ready for the summer holidays.

Putters and balls remain available from our friends at Go Local on Teehey Lane — a huge thank you to them as always for storing the equipment for us.

We may also be planning another community fun day at the course over the summer, so keep an eye on our social media pages for more details soon. 👀

Finally, thank you so much to all the lovely passers-by in the park today for your kind comments, encouragement and donations. It genuinely means the world to us and helps keep projects like this going.

This is what community is all about ❤️

A reminder that we’ll be here TODAY 11-4pm…ALL WELCOME! ⛳️

Today the Love Bebington team will be back at the Crazy Golf Course in Higher Bebington Park to carry out repairs, repainting and improvements ready for the summer. 💚

We’d love a few extra volunteers to come along and help us out! The details are as follows:

📅 Saturday 23rd May 2026
🕚 11am–4pm
📍 Higher Bebington Park (meeting at the entrance to the crazy golf course)

Please come in clothes you don’t mind getting messy or getting paint on. As we’ll be painting on concrete, it may also be sensible to bring something to protect your knees if you have it. We’ll provide paint, brushes and refreshments on the day.

There will also be toilet access available at Bebington Bowling Club, which sits adjacent to the crazy golf course. 🚾

If you’d like to get involved, please come down. Anybody under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We hope to see you there! 🙂

We’re incredibly proud to unveil our very first sponsor at Port Sunlight Station 🌿🚉

A huge thank you to Sunlight Dental for supporting our work and becoming part of the growing Love Our Railways initiative.

Based in Port Sunlight on the A41, Sunlight Dental specialise in orthodontics and modern dental care, offering everything from traditional braces to Invisalign and teeth whitening and much more. Please check out their website and social media pages to find out more about their work 🦷✨

We recently met with the Sunlight Dental team alongside station staff John and Sumo, who have cared for the foyer planters at the station for many years. We’re really excited to now be working together as we continue improving the station.

A special thank you to Kate and everybody at Sunlight Dental for their generosity and support. Sunlight Dental now sponsors four of our planters across the Wirral rail network and we’re hugely grateful to have them involved 💚

This is just the beginning for Port Sunlight Station. We’ll soon be adding more planters and community artwork as we continue transforming the station alongside our partners at Merseyrail. 🌼

We’re also currently looking for more local businesses to sponsor planters at Port Sunlight and our other adopted stations. If you’d be interested, please send us a private message 📩

Exciting times ahead!
