Children can get involved themselves and have a go at balloon modelling, learning how to twist and create their very own balloon creations! 🎈🙌

We wanted our festival to give local families the chance to experience things they might not ordinarily get to do — without having to think about the cost.

Are you or is someone you know looking to improve balance and strength to avoid falls?

We’ve teamed up with Hampshire County Council to deliver low cost, pay-as-you-go Steady and Strong Classes around the borough.

The classes have been developed for older adults to increase strength and balance, helping you to stay stronger for longer so that you can keep doing the things you love.

Classes are running at Popley Fields Community Association Oakridge Hall for All and Tadley Health & Fitness Centre

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council are here with the Green Team and Rangers at our Summer Festival on 5th September!

🌿🦉 People of all ages are invited to join Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council's Green Team and rangers at the Oakridge Summer Festival this Saturday for some free, hands-on nature activities.

Try your hand at making a hoverfly lagoon with the Green Team and learn more about these important pollinators or head over to see the rangers, who will be joined by Natural Basingstoke to put on activities including dissecting owl pellets and getting up close with fascinating natural curiosities, including animal skulls and snake skins.

Whether you're a budding nature enthusiast or just looking for something fun to do with the family, see you there. 🌱
