Another mile stone in the support of baby loss

*Trigger warning* mentions baby loss and miscarriage

Women are set to now be granted bereavement leave for miscarriage before 24 weeks. Myleene Klass, an advocate for women's rights, posted this picture outside the Houses Of Parliament to celebrate the news.

The change in law will mean anyone who experiences baby loss in utero, at any stage of their pregnancy, will have the right to take leave from work.

If you're looking for resources and support around baby loss and miscarriage you can visit charities like Global's Make Some Noise or Tommys. 🤍

Grieving is a unique journey for everyone. It's okay to take your time and process your emotions. Allow yourself to feel, cry, and remember your loved one.

Practical tip: Set aside time each day to reflect and honor their memory.

We’re coming to the end of infertility awareness week. As with so many of these ‘awareness weeks’ we know that the end of this week does not mean the end of the pain for those going through infertility.

The truth of the matter is that infertility is bloody sh*t! Whether you’re going through it after trying for a period of time, going through it after baby loss or you’re struggling to grow your family, we know it is all so horrible and can feel incredibly lonely.

You grew up being told to avoid s*x if you wanted to avoid a baby and now here you are trying to methodically plan every moment to be able to have your baby. We know you’re scrutinising every single ingredient of the food and drink you consume, popping back supplement after supplement, injecting yourself with whatever drug protocol your most recent fertility doctor has recommended, and all that in the hopes that this month, oh how you hope, that this month you get those two lines on a stick that hopefully turn into a living baby.

We’re so sorry that you’re having to go through it all. Our platform and podcast is full of information and contacts that can help you navigate the multi-faceted complexities of infertility, whether that be practical advice or emotional support.

Sometimes when we feel stuck in a hole, we need to remember to raise our hand up so that someone can help pull us out. We promise you that in this community, there will ALWAYS be someone who reaches back to help pull you out.

All our love
