Yesterday we hosted our second Apprenticeship Assessment Centre experience day – this time with Virgin Media O2 🙌

Year 12 students participated in activities used in real recruitment processes, learnt to prepare and present themselves in an assessment centre scenario and received a certificate upon completion.

Our three amazing guest engineers all shared their career stories and expert advice during the activities.

Thanks to all the students and Virgin Media O2 for being involved ⭐

Earlier this week, we marked World Youth Skills Day by highlighting our We Rise Mentoring Programme.

We're pleased to welcome Adam Clark of BRAC Projects to our growing network of volunteer mentors. With extensive experience in business leadership and the construction sector, Adam joins a group of professionals helping young people build confidence, develop employability skills and work towards their career goals.
When asked what he enjoys most about mentoring, Adam said: "Seeing someone benefit from my experience and watching them apply that knowledge to better themselves."

Through the programme, young people aged 16 to 25 can access one-to-one support, guidance and encouragement from experienced mentors in Essex, helping them take positive steps towards their future.

Today is World Youth Skills Day 🌍

This day celebrates the importance of equipping young people with the skills they need for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.

Through We Rise Essex Mentoring, young people aged 16 to 25 are matched with mentors who help them build confidence, explore opportunities and develop skills for the future.
This World Youth Skills Day, we're celebrating the positive impact mentoring can have in supporting young people in achieving their career goals.

So far, we’ve matched over 30 young people with business mentors.
