🚗 Help our older community stay connected and acess vital appointments without even needing to drive.

Are you able to spare some time to ensure our drivers can reach those in need and ensure they get to their appointments safely. Our Community Transport Booking Desk Volunteers connect our drivers with those who are struggling to get where they need to go. They may be rurally isolated, lonely, often housebound and rely on this service to access medical care, social activities, practical appointments (such as food shopping) and more. We urgently needs volunteers to connect journeys with drivers on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Training is provided and expenses can be covered along with the opportunity for volunteer meet ups 4 times a year. If you think you can be the person that makes it happen, please get in touch.

How far would you go to help someone in need? - Could you get to South Molton and support someone with just the time it takes for a friendly conversation?

A gentleman in South Molton is looking for someone who would enjoy popping in for a chat and some good company. He is a keen reader of The Spectator, loves crime and thriller books, and absolutely adores animals. He has also led a fascinating and interesting life, with plenty of stories and experiences to share.

He is currently feeling quite isolated and would really appreciate having someone to talk to — ideally a friendly person who enjoys interesting conversation and would value his company just as much as he would value theirs.

If you think you could spare a little time and would enjoy getting to know him, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Jill (our Volunteer Manager) on

💛 We have a request on behalf of a lovely lady in South Molton who would really benefit from a friendly visitor 💛

She’s someone who genuinely enjoys good company – the kind of person who will happily sit with a cuppa, have a proper chat, and before you know it you’re both laughing and swapping stories. She’s full of memories and adventures from over the years, and she really comes alive when she has someone to share them with 😊

At the moment, a little regular company would mean the world to her. Just an hour or two here and there to break up the week and give her something to look forward to.
Befriending really is one of those simple things that makes a big difference – not just for her, but often our volunteer too. It’s a chance to give something back and feel that lovely sense of connection and purpose.

If you’ve got a bit of time and enjoy meeting people, we know she would be so grateful to hear from you.

🌷 Make Mondays the best day of the week 🌷
Volunteer Befriender Wanted in Braunton

💛 Sometimes it’s the quieter days that can feel the loneliest.
We’re looking for a kind and friendly volunteer in the Braunton area to spend a little time with a lovely lady who can feel a bit low after the weekend and would really value some friendly company on a Monday morning or afternoon.

She enjoys her garden and reading, so perhaps you’re someone who loves books, enjoys pottering in the garden, or simply appreciates a good conversation over a cuppa. 📚🌸☕

Giving an hour or two of your time could turn Monday into a day she genuinely looks forward to – and volunteering can be incredibly rewarding for you too.

🌿 Share an interest in gardens and the outdoors
📚 Chat about books and favourite reads
☕ Enjoy a cuppa and some friendly conversation
💛 Build a friendship and know that your visit really matters

Befriending is a small commitment that can have a big impact. It’s an opportunity to give something back to your local community, make a meaningful connection and go home knowing you’ve helped make someone’s day a little brighter.

If your Mondays have room for a new friendship, we’d love to hear from you. 🌷

💚 Give a little time. Gain a lot in return.
– Volunteer Befriender Wanted in Braunton 💚

Volunteering isn’t only about helping someone else. It can be a wonderful way to give something back, meet new people, enjoy shared interests and experience that rewarding feeling of knowing your time genuinely matters.

We’re looking for a female volunteer befriender in the Braunton area, particularly someone who may have some free time on a Wednesday afternoon, to spend time with a lovely gentleman who would really value some friendly companionship.

He enjoys playing croquet and getting outdoors for a walk, so this could be a great match for someone who enjoys being active, having a chat and spending time in good company. 🌿

Perhaps you’ve recently retired, have a little more time on your hands, work part-time, or simply feel you’d like to do something positive for someone in your local community.

Just an hour or two of your time can give someone companionship and something to look forward to – while giving you the satisfaction of knowing you’ve made a real difference to their week.

Sometimes giving your time is one of the most rewarding things you can do. 🌼
