A busy day, I instructed on both kata and Kumite squad today. I followed that by chairing our Regional meeting with Simon Thompson our Regional Officer joining on line from Australia.

I believe the Squad is in a very good position with twenty students in each session also some clear evidence of new talent emerging.

The meeting went well with preparation for our Welsh Championships on 20th June discussed at length along with our plans for the next six months.

Good strong Welsh Squad kata and Kumite Sessions today. Great to get back to it.

Despite a late change of venue over sixty KUGB stalwarts turned up at the BARGOED YSTRAD MYNACH DOJO for a course with celebrated international fighter, Chief Instructor Solihull SKC and England Assistant Coach Sensei Greg Heggerty 6th Dan.
It was good to see Senior KUGB Club Instructors Kevin O’Neill, Simon Thompson, Clive Davies, Graham Jennings and Dean Acreman leading by example and training on what turned out to be an excellent three hours of Shotokan Karate.
