πŸ’œ Monday Meet Run πŸ’œ

Last night we started with a new warm-up that brought plenty of laughter as we tried to work out who was the bear, who was the hiker and who was chasing whom!

Through a series of drills, we looked at how our feet land when we run and practised finding a comfortable midfoot landing to take into our running.

A special welcome to Jas, who joined us for the first time this evening. It was lovely to meet you and we hope to see you again soon!

πŸ’œ Monday Meetrun πŸ’œ

The sun certainly shone on 26 women this evening as we began with celebrating 6 of our fearless ladies completing the Endure24 challenge which started Sat at 12noon & finished Sunday at 12noon . We are all so, so proud of their fantastic achievement of 26 laps & 208kms. We loved encouraging & supporting them for the full 24hours, helping them get through the toughest of times, especially throughout the darkest hours of the night.

Medals admired & tales of the experience shared it was then time for more fun focussing this week on running technique. Running through hoops followed by a very lively game of dolphin golf caused much laughter around Longford Park. Then a lovely chatty trail run around the beautiful countryside at the back of Bodicote was the order of the evening . A huge thankyou to our coach Sarah for planning that for us & also assisting me during the session.

Well done everyone, we really look forward to seeing you all next week for some more fun , hopefully once again , in the sun 🌞!

Shoutout to our amazing, strong and fearless team of 6 who took on Endure24 this weekend. An epic challenge that showed what can be achieved with girl power, purple sparkly battle braids, team work, resilience, determination and courage. And has for tackling Heartbreak Hill, the words of Coach Kathy 'you've got this...tiny baby steps' rung in ears.

They had the whole of 261 Fearless Club Banbury behind them as well as the various 261 Fearless Club UK groups and coaches with the WhatsApp chat groups sending messages of support & positivity through during the 24 hour challenge.

Take a look at the purple finisher t-shirts and medals...it's like they knew 261 Fearless were taking part πŸ’œ

The planned strength meet run was slightly derailed by a rather uncooperative change in the weather. Even the Rings of Fire warm-up couldn't persuade the drizzle to stop.
We saw some impressive efforts during the plank balling challenge, although it's fair to say the combination of planks, rain and grass left us with muddy paws and muddy leggings. The conditions were too soggy for the Caterpillar plank which was replaced by a wall sit challenge. Officially, it was 1 minute 30 seconds against the wall, but by the time the instructions were finished, some of you had probably already clocked up 3 minutes! The hourglass relay may not have been our sharpest display of military precision, but the important thing is that everyone eventually ran where they were supposed to, and we finished in style with two victory laps of Longford Park.
A warm welcome to our three first-timers, who bravely joined us on one of a wet evening and still came back smiling. Thank you to all of you for turning up, sticking with it, embracing the conditions, and bringing the usual mix of effort, energy and laughter that makes these meet runs so much fun.
