Cherwell Lodge No. 599 is delighted to be partnering with Let’s Play Project as our chosen local charity for the coming year.

We are proud to support the incredible work that Let’s Play does for children and young people and their families across our community.

Mark Eyre (Worshipful Master) and Sean Abel (Secretary) of Cherwell Lodge were delighted to present a cheque for £2,000 last night to help support the fantastic work carried out by the charity.

Sammy Bates (Manager) and Tony Milns (Social Media Creator) were present to accept the cheque on behalf of Let’s Play.

Throughout the year, Cherwell Lodge will be raising further funds through a number of events and activities, as well as working alongside the Let’s Play team on joint initiatives to help make a meaningful difference.

We very much look forward to working together over the next 12 months and supporting such a fantastic cause — and we are sure this will be the first of many contributions as the partnership grows.

Bro Tim Clarke will be running the Stratford-upon-Avon Half Marathon in support of our 2026 Lodge Charity, Let’s Play Project. 🏃‍♂️

This is a fantastic effort for a truly wonderful cause that provides vital support and opportunities for children and young people with disabilities in our community.

Let’s all get behind Tim and show our support as he takes on this challenge! Every bit of encouragement and support will make a huge difference.

Well done Tim, and best of luck on the day – we’ll all be cheering you on! 👏

Yesterday we had the pleasure of presenting a £500 cheque to the Royal Voluntary Service – Cornhill Centre in Banbury, which will go towards the upkeep and continued development of the sensory garden at the centre. 🌿

Mark Eyre (Worshipful Master) and Sean Abel (Secretary) were delighted to present the cheque in person to Ruth Maina, Centre Manager, and her colleague Sam Wheeler (volunteer).

The Cornhill Centre provides incredible support, activities and friendship to many people in our local community, and we are proud to be able to contribute in a small way to the important work they do.

We look forward to seeing the garden continue to flourish for everyone who visits the centre.
