Bingo was among our activities at our Friday Club last week. Of course the usual dominoes, scrabble and various other activities too. We had a lovely 2 course meal 😋. We have had some fun weeks and forgotten to share it with you all!! Too busy having a good time 😉

💛 Warm Welcome Café Update

Unfortunately, Cornhill Community Centre will be closed on Wednesday, which means the Warm Welcome Café will not be taking place this week.

This month HMRC will begin recovering Winter Fuel Repayments that were paid to those over the £35,000 annual income threshold. This is an automatic process done through PAYE tax codes but unfortunately it also means that people may be at risk of being targeted by scams.

We are urging everyone to be vigilant to any texts, phone calls or emails that they may receive about this. HMRC will never contact people by text or email to ask them to repay their fuel payment or request their bank details.

If unsure you can check online at www.tax.service.gov.uk/guidance/check-if-hmrc-will-take-back-your-winter-payment/start/tax-year to see if your payment will be reclaimed and how.

HELP US PLEASE 🙏🫶
Are you aged 25 to 80 with a full, clean UK driving licence and your own vehicle?
Would you like to support people with no private transport who have great difficulty using public transport, people who may be lonely, isolated and possibly dealing with multiple and long term health issues, people who may have few friends or family able to assist?

This is a great opportunity for people who like to drive and who want to help others live more fulfilling lives.
Training and expenses are provided. If you would like to know more about the role, what to expect, what impact your support will have on people in need, and anything else that you might want to know. Please contact us on 01295 264214 or call into the Cornhill Centre OX16 5NT
