I found the thank you note that went alongside this award from South Central Ambulance Service over the weekend. The award was for the contribution from Volunteer Driver Service throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. I’ll put them both together from now on :0)

Today is the one-year anniversary of our first journey as Volunteer Driver Service Community Interest Company. The map below shows all the client and volunteer driver locations from that year. The routes are from the last 30 days. VDS CIC makes a really positive impact to all those people.

This time last year Volunteer Driver Service (VDS) were closed. It was the period where 3 ex-employees of Citizens Advice had decided to take VDS on as a Community Interest Company (CIC), and we were busy in the background making that happen.

Last year, when we announced we were restarting as VDS CIC, we received a staggering £13,128.15 worth of donations. Those amazing donations will ensure VDS CIC goes into 2027.
