John is leaving after six years volunteering with VDS. What did John get out of volunteering:

**New 55p per mile reimbursement rate**
Volunteer Driver Service needs more volunteer drivers in and around Steeple Claydon. We are having to cancel journeys as we have the clients, but not enough volunteer drivers to transport them. If you have a car, some spare time, and would like to make a difference in your local community, we'd love to hear from you.

If you are struggling to attend essential hospital appointments, other medical appointments (e.g. GP, dentist, optician), visits to loved ones in care homes or hospices, supermarkets, visits to people in hospital, classes that benefit health and wellbeing, we may be able to help.
