🎲☕ Dementia Friendly Games Club at Larkrise – Next Friday! ☕🎲

Our Dementia Friendly Games Club is back next Friday, and we’d love you to join us for another relaxed and welcoming afternoon at Larkrise Care Centre.

The club is open to people living with dementia, along with their families, friends and carers. Enjoy a selection of classic games in a friendly and supportive environment, with tea, coffee and plenty of good company.

It’s a lovely opportunity to spend time together, meet others in the local community and have some fun. 💙

We recently had a wonderful teddy bear’s picnic with the children from Little Sparrow Child Care. 🧸💕

This was such a lovely afternoon, with everyone enjoying a yummy packed lunch in their very own teddy bear picnic box, a teddy bear crown for the party, lots of singing and, of course, our special teddy friends joining us too! 🧸🎶🥪

🤝 One event. Lots of local support.

One of the reasons we wanted to organise the OSJCT Banbury Community Care Fair was to make it easier for people to discover the incredible range of support that already exists within our communities.

On Thursday, organisations from across health, social care, dementia support, carers support, home care, later-life advice, wellbeing and community services will come together at Longford Park Community Centre.

For members of the public, it’s an opportunity to ask questions and discover support.

For families and carers, it’s a chance to meet organisations face-to-face and understand what help is available.

And for professionals, it’s also a valuable opportunity to connect with other local services, build relationships and understand where we can signpost people when they need support.

We have a few lovely achievements to celebrate here at Lakerise! 🎉

A big congratulations to Linda, who has completed her Level 2 NVQ. Well done, Linda! 👏📚

We’re also celebrating two very special long-service milestones. Wendy has reached an incredible 10 years with us, while Mavis has reached an amazing 15 years. 💙

We’re so grateful for the care, commitment and dedication they have given over the years. Having colleagues who grow their careers with us and become such an important part of our home is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Congratulations to all three of you, and thank you for everything you do! 🌟

Really looking forward to our OSJCT Banbury Community Care Fair next week! 💙

It’s been great bringing together such a wide range of local organisations and services for the day, all with a shared aim of helping people access the information, advice and support available within their community.

We’ll have organisations joining us from across health, social care, dementia and carers support, wellbeing, home care, later-life services and more – alongside our own OSJCT teams.

These events are also a great opportunity to strengthen the relationships between organisations working across our communities and make it easier for people to know where to turn when they need support.

A lovely morning with Little Sparrows 🦋☀️

We had another lovely morning with our friends from Little Sparrows!

It was wonderful to meet some of the new children and spend time getting creative together as we made beautiful butterfly suncatchers. 🦋✨

There were lots of smiles, creativity and lovely moments shared between generations.

🌞 What a fantastic summer fete at Larkrise Care Centre! 🌞

We had a wonderful time welcoming families, friends and members of our local community last weekend. There were brilliant stalls, generous local businesses, face painting and, of course, some fantastic singing from Sparky and Sprite! 🎶

It was lovely to see so many people enjoying the afternoon and spending time with our residents. ❤️

We're delighted to have raised £507.45, which will help fund future trips and experiences for residents, as well as some lovely additions to our newly landscaped garden.
