International Dwarfism Awareness Day | 25 October

Different journeys. Outstanding achievements.

Today, we celebrate athletes with dwarfism and their sporting success.

From Italy’s Mariangela Correale’s achievements in Para Dance to Chinese Taipei’s Huang Zi-An’s emerging talent in Para badminton and Czechia’s Stanislav Cimpa’s success in Power Hockey, these athletes remind us that sporting excellence takes many forms.

Today and every day, let’s build a sporting world where everyone belongs and every athlete has the opportunity to reach their potential.

🌊 ONE YEAR AGO, HISTORY WAS MADE.

On 18 October 2025, the inaugural World Abilitysport Beach Games began in Mersin, Türkiye, marking a historic milestone for international Para sport.

🏆 Seven sports. Athletes from around the world. One groundbreaking event that opened new horizons for inclusion, competition and sporting excellence.

The first edition was just the beginning. The legacy continues. 🌍

One year ago, the 2025 World Abilitysport Beach Games were officially declared open, marking the first-ever multi-sport Games dedicated to beach, open-air and aquatic sports in the Paralympic Movement.🏄‍♀️

Today with our hosts at Türk Paralimpik, we are looking back at an unforgettable week, celebrating the athletes, partners, volunteers and everyone who helped bring this landmark event to life 🤩

Here’s to breaking new ground, creating more opportunities and continuing to shape the future of Para sport. 🌍

Sofie lit up Lahti with her talent, precision and passion for Para Dance Sport, reminding everyone that when the music starts, excellence speaks for itself.

A true reference in Para Dance Sport, Sofie continues to set the standard and inspire through every performance. It was a pleasure to see her shine at the Guttmann Games. And as for how she got that gold medal? Well, the answer is dancing. 💜
