And outside here is a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), a children's play area and a recreation field. Thank you amazing explorer scouts! Who planted a new hedge in the garden of the large village hall. This will eventually help to reduce noise for our immediate neighbours. It will take a few years but it will also provide a great habitat for birds. 🙂. They've also promised to keep an eye on it throughout the year and make sure it gets watered regularly.

Thank you to everyone who has parked away from the village hall today. (Though there is still one small white car?!) Southern Water has successfully manoeuvred their piece of equipment into their site. They will still have bits of equipment and vehicles coming and going all day. But the car park should reopen this evening.

Advance warning - there will be parking restrictions on Bridge Street and the Village hall carpark from the 16th-17th February.

A large piece of equipment is being delivered to the sewage treatment works. To get the articulated lorry through, the on-street parking opposite the village hall entrance will be suspended. The Village Hall Car Park will also be completely closed on Tuesday 17th Feb from 6am. This includes cars that are left overnight - please make sure you vacate the car park in time for this large lorry to be able to get round the space.

Please observe these restrictions so that this upgrade can take place. It will make the sewage plant more eco friendly, so is for everyone's benefit. Many thanks.
