A food and resource exchange scheme for everyone!

Wonderful followers? Do you have as little as 4.5 hours to spare once a month on a Saturday morn and afternoon to help us keep your beloved exchange going?

We need volunteers to help us serve visitors in our food and wellbeing exchange cafe

Volunteers to help us bring food donations into the exchange on a saturday morning.

If youre feeling powerless about the state of the world, i can tell you that volunteering for the exchange really does help you feel like your playing your part in bringing about positive change.

Please note that due to low staffing, we're unable to open the wellbeing cafe at 11.30am tomorrow. However, we will be here to welcome you all at 12 noon tomorrow.

So, our opening hours will be from 12-2 tomorrow and not 11.30am till 2

Please accept our apologies and, do get in touch if you have time to volunteer to [email protected] as we do need new hands on deck and volunteering as little as 4 hours a week will help massively.

See you tomorrow! for the cheapest basket of groceries in town (£2 for a large basket or £1 if you donate unwanted food or toiletries)

Lovely people

The Sherwood Exchange will be open this saturday 26th September from 12-2pm with the wellbeing cafe offering free hot drinks opening at 11.30am

Grab yourself a bargain basket of fresh food and groceries for just £2 or £1 if you donate unwanted storecupboard food items or toiletries.

Everybody is warmly welcomed to help save this food from otherwise going to waste, and good quality food it is too!

We are open today , Saturday the 4th of July from 12-3pm with plenty of fresh food as well as clothing, toiletries and kids toys for swaps.

Please bring something in to swap for £1 entry or pay £2 entry without something to swap for a full basket worth of shopping plus an extra bag of clothing and/or kids toys.

Everybody is welcomed. We are a food hub not a food bank!
We are for everybody wishing to help reduce food and landfill waste.

Thankyou for everyone who took the trip out today to find us. What a great haul of food we had too!

Thanky ou equally to the two lovely ladies who came after hearing me on 97.5 Kemet fm on tuesday morning.

Just knowing that more people are getting to see and seeing people return back every fortnight us is really the best thing ever.

You beautiful people are really helping us create something beautiful here and we are so proud to be supported by such a gorgeous community of likeminded and caring people.

Hello folks.

Exciting news! Were about to become an official HOPE foodbank referral point so we can refer people in need to food bank support if they need it.

From now on though we will no longer be a sharewear donation point so please take your sharewear donations to the clothing bin outside St Judes Church Mapperley which is accessible 24/7

We will take small amounts of clothing as swaps for food and our clothing rail at the Sherwood Exchange however as we know you love your clothes exchange as much as i love your clothes you bring in!

Please do not that our volunteers also refer people to Sharewear Clothing Scheme where they can visit and choose a big range of clothing and shoes and bedding for all members of the family.

The Sherwood Exchange is open this Saturday 6th June, 12–2pm at The Place, 22a Melrose Street, NG5 2JP

Bring along any surplus store‑cupboard food, fruit & veg, clothing, toiletries or children’s toys and, for just £1 entry, you can fill a basket with surplus food plus take one bag of clothing and/or children’s toys.

Everyone is welcome.
We are NOT a Foodbank!
We’re a COMMUNITY SHARE - and we're very passionate about recycling, reducing waste and supporting each other!
