Arnold u3a leading the way It's an exciting time for our u3a, as we are getting some national recognition.
We're leading a project to help promote some of our u3a goals, along with our Gedling MP, Michael Payne and other all-party MPs in Parliament.
The Third Age Trust is now on board with our initiative and is helping us to promote our values, such as Positive Aging; Informal Continuing Learning; Helping to take pressure off the NHS; and Avoiding Social Isolation.
Ahead of our October main meeting, Michael Payne met with our Chair, Hazel, and Vice Chair, Viv, and the East Midlands Public Relations advisor, John Perry.
One of the actions that Michael took away from that meeting was to look at the possibility of asking for a backbench debate.
