A huge congratulations to Mr Lorimer, our Dundee Overall Winner and David Golledge, Overall Angus Winner in this year's Garden Competition! 🎉

We would also like to say a big well done to all of our finalists. The hard work, creativity and dedication that went into your gardens and outdoor spaces was truly outstanding. The standard of entries was incredibly high this year, making it a very difficult task for our judges to select the winners.

All shortlisted finalists were invited to a special celebration event at Ashbrooks Gardens Centre, Arbroath, where they enjoyed light refreshments and the opportunity to celebrate their achievements together. 🌼☕

❄️ Could You Be Eligible for Child Winter Heating Payment? ❄️

Families of disabled children and young people in Scotland could receive a £265.50 Child Winter Heating Payment to help with increased heating costs over the winter. The payment is made once a year and, in most cases, is paid automatically by Social Security Scotland.

✅ You may qualify if your child receives certain disability benefits and meets the eligibility criteria.

💡 The payment is per eligible child, so households with more than one eligible child can receive more than one payment.

The Warm Home Discount Scheme is a UK Government scheme that provides a one-off £150 payment discount on electricity/gas bills for eligible households during the winter months.

📅 Key dates:

✅ Qualifying date: 23 August 2026 - you must've been a customer from this date or earlier.
✅ Applications are only open between 9th September – 30 September 2026
✅ Payments begin: January 2027
✅ Scheme ends: 31 March 2027

❤️ A Tribute to our Housing Officer, Gill McWalter, a much-loved friend and colleague

It is with deep sadness that we announce the news of the passing of our much - loved colleague and friend, Gill McWalter, who died recently following a long illness. Gill worked as a Housing Officer with Angus Housing Association for over 8 years. Her warm nature, dedication and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Our thoughts go out to Gill's family and loved ones at this very sad time. 🙏
