Join us tomorrow for our next Volunteer Work Day! ⚜️

Our team will be finishing prep work for our new car park. We need support mixing cement (don’t worry, we’ve got a mixer!) and finishing the slab laying for our new toilet block 🚽

There’s plenty more to get stuck into too - upgrading fire pits, clearing ditches, and lots of general site jobs 🍂

We can’t wait to see you there! 💪

Gates will be open from 9:30ish - bring a mug!

We are incredibly proud to be working with Trenchline Utilities Limited, who are kindly supporting our Car Park Regeneration ⚜️

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be receiving deliveries of road planings, ready to shape and expand our car park. Helping more children, adults, and community groups make the most of Furzefield.

Yesterday, Ian, Harvey, Karl and Katie got stuck in, spending the morning prepping the site ready for the transformation!

Before we can lay the new surface, we need to move the mound and reduce the roundabout - so there’s still plenty to do.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be looking for volunteers to help dig and scrape back the muddy layer in preparation.
Do you know anyone with a digger?

🚧 You may notice that parts of the car park have been coned or barriered off while we prepare the area. Please do not park in these sections - this helps keep everyone safe and the project on track.

Keep an eye out for upcoming work days - we’ll be sharing details very soon! 🍂

Our season has officially begun, and we’re almost fully booked for the summer ☀️
Get your booking forms in now before it’s too late!

🚻 NEW TOILETS ARE NOW OPEN 🎉

We’re excited to share that our brand-new toilets are now open and ready for use!

Another fantastic turnout at our volunteer day yesterday ⚜️ Your hard work and support made this possible.

🚿 The new adult/accessible toilet + shower room is almost there - we’re just waiting on final sign-off.

🚻 All other new toilets and urinals are now fully open and available.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this project over the last 8 months. It’s been a long, BIG push, and we’re so proud to finally celebrate the finish line 👏⚜️

Another massive thank you to all our sponsors who have supported this project and provided materials, labour, discounts, knowledge and expertise! We really couldn't have done it without you!

Don't forget to book your evening meetings soon! Our weekends are almost filled up for the summer ⚜️

Take a look just how far we've come!

⚜️ Volunteer Work Day ⚜️

Another brilliant day at Furzefield and a full carpark! Once again it showed exactly what keeps this campsite going, our volunteers. Giving up time, sharing skills, and cracking on whatever the weather.

The Campsite Team - Katie, Ian, Jason and Matt, were on hand all day keeping things moving and tackling jobs across site.

Harvey brought out the digger and took on a big task, digging out a ditch and removing invasive bamboo to open the area back up.

A huge team effort went into ditch digging and bridge building, with support from Karl, Cam, and Jason with his son Aiden (1st Angmering), Glynn and Ade (1st Rustington), Stuart (4th Littlehampton), Debbie (1st Yapton), and Sam and Simon from Sussex Forest Activities.

Mark spent the day cutting up dead trees, while Jason (Viking ESU) kept busy splitting and processing logs ready for future use.

Steve (1st East Preston) measured up the cabin in preparation for the new flooring.

Our Explorers; Daisy, Evelyn, Dan, Erin, Charlie and Zack kept the fires going, burning old woodstock and helping clear space across site.

And of course, Jill kept everyone fuelled with much-needed tea ☕ (always essential!).

So much was achieved in one day. Thank you to everyone who turned up, mucked in, and made a real difference ⚜️
