1st Angmering Scout Group

1st Angmering Cubs and scouts spent the last 2 nights under canvas/in a scout hut in Petworth. Thanks 1st Petworth Scout Group for letting us hire your scout hut. 1st Angmering squirrels joined them for a 3 hour taster yesterday. Thanks to all that helped out.

A massive well deserved Congratulations to our Group Chair Sharon!

Sunday at Arundel & Littlehampton District Scouts St George’s day parade in Arundel Cathedral Sharon was awarded her Award for Merit by our glamorous District Lead Ian, who was very honoured and excited to present it to Sharon.

Sharon has been an asset to the group for many years and never asked or wanted recognition. She has taken the role of chair and made it hers own. Without her the group would not be in the great position it is today. From applying for countless grants to learning how to use the cctv system nothing is to much for Sharon to undertake. Regardless of anything in her way in scouting or personally Sharon soldiers on and if there was a Yvonne Heater award for adults she would certainly achieve it year in, year out. This is because Sharon always tries and does her best. Without Sharon 1st Angmering would not be what it is today

What a great day!

Firstly thank to all the members of Angmering Scout group for attending today and the parents for supporting this event. You all did Angmering and the District proud, looking very smart

Secondly thank you to Arundel & Littlehampton District Scouts for putting on such a spectacular day in such a professional manner, it ran perfectly and thank you for all the organisation and effort that goes into all of that.

Well done to our flag bearers you did a sterling job. Rosie, Mollie, Ralph and William you did us proud.

Mostly though. Thank you to all the Leaders for supporting yet another event we have taken part in. This is all in your spare time and this is greatly appreciated by everyone. You’re all legends. A special thank you to our Cub lead Amber for putting Angmering’s logistics together for today’s event for Angmering.
