🎆 SCOUT & PROUD - LITTLEHAMPTON BONFIRE PARADE 2026! 🎆

Just a little update on the Bonfire Parade!

We’ve had a really good response so far from people wanting to join us, which is brilliant! 💜 But we want to get as much of the District there as possible, so please keep spreading the word and getting your Groups involved!

We’ve also had some more information from the Bonfire Committee, so we wanted to remind everyone what we’re going for...

🌈 Think COLOURFUL. Think BRIGHT. Think LIGHTS! ✨

We want our Scout section of the parade to really stand out, so get creative with:

🧣 Group hoodies, scarves and section jumpers
🌈 Rainbow accessories
✨ Glow sticks
💡 Fairy lights
🎨 Colourful face paint
🎆 Anything bright, colourful and fun!

Please don't wear Halloween or ghost costumes - this isn't a Halloween theme. We want to keep it about Scouting, being welcoming and inclusive, and showing Littlehampton what a brilliant Scout community we have. ⚜️💜

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Everyone is welcome!
Scouts, Explorers, Network, leaders, volunteers, parents, carers, siblings and families. You don't have to be a leader or a young person to come along!

We're all from different Groups, but on the night we're one District. The more of us there are, the better it will be!

🏕️ A weekend of adventure at Petworth! 🌳

This weekend, we joined 4th Littlehampton Scout Group and 1st Arundel Scout Group for a fantastic weekend of camping at one of our favourite sites — 1st Petworth Scout Group HQ! 🏕️

Our Scouts spent the weekend getting stuck into the great outdoors, exploring, having fun, making new friends and creating memories that will last a lifetime. 🌲🔥

A huge well done to all the Scouts — you were absolutely brilliant and embraced every adventure thrown your way! 👏

A very special thank you to the 4th Littlehampton leadership team for putting the camp together and inviting both Arundel and Angmering along for the weekend. Your hard work made it possible, and we’re already looking forward to the next one! 🙌

Adventure, friendship and memories — that’s what Scouting is all about! ⚜️

Let’s celebrate National Inclusion Week!

Meet Nathan, a 19-year-old Network member who’s completed his Young Leader Belt and King’s Scout Award. Nathan has quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and achieves anything he puts his mind to – like finishing the Southern 50 Challenge Hike.

He says: ‘I used my electric wheelchair and walking frame to push through deep mud and huge puddles with help from my team, Phoenix Flyers 3. I’m so proud of myself.’

Nathan received a Chief Scout’s Unsung Hero Award in recognition of his hard work. He says: ‘The award gave me the chance to show others with a disability that they can participate in Scouts to the max.'

Congratulations, Nathan. You’re an inspiration.

🚨 1st Angmering Scouts NEEDS YOU! 🚨

We’re looking to grow our amazing team of volunteers and we’d love to hear from you! 💜

We currently have opportunities for:
💰 Treasurer
🪑 Chairperson
⚜️ Scout Section Lead
🤝 Section Support
💡 And most importantly… anyone who has skills, experience, ideas or wisdom to share!

You don’t need to be a Scout expert, wear a uniform or know your knots! Whether you can give a little time, share your professional skills, help behind the scenes or take on a bigger role, there’s a place for you in our team.

Together, we can continue giving the young people of Angmering the adventures, skills and experiences they deserve. 🌳🔥🏕️

📩 If you think you could help, please get in touch. Even if you’re not sure what role would suit you, have a chat with us — you might be exactly what we’re looking for!
