Over the last few days we've had a few emails and similar questions and worries being expressed.

Perhaps other parents are thinking of taking the PTA over, but worried about how big of a commitment it seems to be.

Please see the attached poster with a few Q&A's, in the hopes that is answers some of those common worries.

Again, we strongly encourage anyone who is thinking of getting involved to email us at [email protected] and come to the AGM on Monday 2nd February at 6.30pm at St. Andrews Church.

*If a new committee is not voted in at the AGM the PTA will fold. 02/02/2026 is the LAST date the vote can be held after which it will have to disband*

With the AGM tomorrow evening we wanted to give an advance notice of the role changes proposed within our PTA.

The PTA currently consists of a very small number of parents and it has now come time for the natural change in faces among the team.

Tomorrow evening will see all three Key Roles become available for new members to be voted into.

The Chair, currently held by Holly, who stepped down before Christmas with the imminent arrival of her third baby.

The Secretary, currently held by Lisa, who after a number of devoted years is ready to had over the reins.

The Treasurer, currently held by Emma, who’s intention had been to step down at the 2026/2027 AGM, but without a full team it’s not sustainable to be ran with only 1 Key Role member.

Our current PTA team have raised over £19k in the last couple of years, £4k alone since the start of this academic year, and as such is a huge asset to the school and children.

We strongly encourage anyone who can to come along tomorrow evening, see what we do, and join so a new PTA can take this successful charity forward, with full support from the existing committee as it exits.

If a new team does not come forward the PTA will no longer run events, which would be a huge shame for everyone.

We hope to see lots of you tomorrow 🤞

This morning we sent along an old friend of ours to see the children before they break up for Christmas. After reading to them and then having a good old sing song, they all received a small gift from us to get their festive season started 🎅 🎁

We'd like to extend our warmest wishes to everyone at Alresford Primary School for a lovely Christmas 🎄

Here's hoping you all have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Years 🎆

Thank you for all of your kind donations for the Christmas Hampers this year. We have put together 6 lovely hampers, pictures below.

As a gentle reminder you need to purchase your raffle tickets by 8.15pm on Thursday 18th December. The draw will be automatically pulled at 8.30pm.

This is a public raffle and open to all grandparents, relatives and friends, so please share our link around. All funds raised are going into the new school playground prevision for the children.
