DAWGS - Dog Action Working Group Scotland SCIO DAWGS is a charity that finds loving new homes for dogs whose owners can no longer care for them

DAWGS (Dog Action Working Group Scotland) is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation and a dog welfare charity based in the North East of Scotland. We are dedicated to finding loving new homes for unwanted dogs, dogs in need, or dogs whose owners, perhaps due to illness or a change in family circumstances can no longer care for them. Since our formation in 1994, we have helped re-home over

2,000 dogs and puppies. DAWGS is solely funded by public donations and fundraising events. We receive no government funding and are not part of a national organization. If you are interested in re-homing a dog or have a dog you would like us to re-home, please visit our website – www.dawgs.co.uk

Meet beautiful Teddi, a 2 year old mixed breed sweetheart who's searching for her forever family! 🏡✨

Teddi is a happy, affectionate girl who absolutely loves attention and being part of the action. Whether it's playtime in the garden, a long countryside walk, or a fun car adventure, Teddi is always ready to join in! 🚗🌳🐕

This lovely lady enjoys the company of other dogs and has successfully lived with one before. She could potentially share her new home with another canine companion following a successful introduction. 🐶💕

Teddi has also lived with children and loved all the fuss and attention they gave her, making her a wonderful candidate for a family home. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦❤️

Teddi loves her walks and would happily explore for miles! While she can be strong on the lead and her recall needs some work, she's eager to learn with the right guidance and continued training. Because of this, she is generally not walked off lead.

A home with a large, secure garden would be a dream come true for this active girl, giving her plenty of space to play, sniff, and enjoy life to the fullest. 🌿🐾

Could you be the forever family that Chico has been waiting for? 🏡❤️

Chico is a handsome 4 year old mixed breed with a big smile and an even bigger personality! 😍 This happy boy loves attention, enjoys a good play session, and is always ready to make new memories with his favourite humans.

🚶‍♂️ Chico absolutely LOVES his walks and would happily explore for miles if given the chance! He can be strong on the lead, so he'll need a family willing to continue his training. His recall isn't reliable, so he is generally kept on lead when out and about.

🐕 He gets on well with other dogs and has previously lived with a canine friend. Chico could live with another dog following a successful introduction.

🌳 Adventure is Chico's middle name! He loves car journeys and discovering new places. He's also happy being left for sensible periods, making him a great companion for many different lifestyles.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Chico has lived with children before and loved all the fuss and attention they gave him, so a family home will be considered.

🏡 A large, secure enclosed garden would be ideal for this active lad, giving him plenty of space to play and relax.

🐾❤️ Adoption Success Story: Lyla's New Chapter as Coco ❤️🐾

When Coco (formerly Lyla) found her forever home on 20th April 2026, it was a bit of a spur-of-the-moment decision, but it quickly became clear that she was exactly where she was meant to be. 🏡✨

From the moment she arrived, Coco fit in perfectly with her two new canine siblings. Her family says it felt as though she had always been part of their lives, settling in effortlessly and making herself right at home. 🐶🐶🐶❤️

Like any dog, there have been a few challenges along the way, with a little extra barking keeping everyone on their toes! 😂 But with patience and love, Coco continues to thrive and show her wonderful personality every day.

One thing is for certain, Coco is the boss, and she always has been! 👑🐾 Her family wouldn't have it any other way. Full of confidence, character, and endless affection, she's become their beloved "wee pocket rocket" and the sweetest little companion.

The most special part of Coco's story is the way she has completed their pack. 🥰 She wasn't just adopted into a family she became the missing piece that brought everything together.

Coco is most definitely here to stay, surrounded by love, adventures, and the forever family she deserves. ❤️🐾

We're delighted to share that Storm is settling into her new home beautifully! ❤️
Here she is taking her important role very seriously, supervising her new dad while he mows the grass. 🌱🚜

It's a tough job, but someone has to make sure everything is done to the highest standards! 🐶👀

Seeing our dogs thriving in their new homes is what it's all about, and we couldn't be happier for Storm and her family.
