DAWGS (scio) is charity based in the North East of Scotland that finds loving new homes for dogs whose owners, perhaps due to illness, frailty or a change in family circumstances, can no longer take care of them. We match families and dogs to ensure the best possible chance that our doggy “tails” have a happy ending. Over the last 21 years we have successfully re-homed over 3000 dogs. It costs ove

r £300 to re- home every dog – more if kenneling, veterinary care or other services are needed - but the results make it so worthwhile. Yet we receive no statutory funding and rely on our own fundraising efforts, our charity shop and support from the local community and local businesses to keep our service going.
