⚽ ALFORD TOWN U11s – PLAYERS WANTED FOR 2026/27 SEASON ⚽

Are you currently in Year 4 or Year 5 and looking to play football next season?
As our current U10s move up to U11s for the 2026/27 season, we are welcoming new and existing players to join our teams.

Whether you've played football for years, are looking for a new challenge, or have never kicked a ball before and want to give it a try, we'd love to hear from you!

This Saturday night there’s a fantastic fundraiser at The Corn Exchange.

Your ticket price includes a drink and a raffle ticket, and you’ll be entertained by The Poacher Dogs, a brilliant band playing cover songs from every decade.

Best of all, it’s all in aid of some wonderful local causes, so come along, enjoy a great night of live music, and help support your community.

⚜️⚜️ This week has been busy for 1st Alford Scout Group & Smugglers ESU⚜️⚜️

We've seen:
- Beavers getting to grips with healthy eating whilst making fruit kebabs
- Cubs went out on a 'this way or that way' local walk followed by sharing some well needed chips
- Scouts have been busy making keyrings and learning about European countries

Then tonight Smugglers ESU joined Arctic ESU for an evening of chill out and BBQ - who would have thought venison sausages are so tasty!

⚜️⚜️⚜️Although we are half way through our summer term we do have spaces, so if you have a young person aged 6-17 who would like to make new friends, learn skills and have fun, then get in touch today! ⚜️⚜️⚜️

This week is volunteers week and without our volunteers continued dedication to the group we wouldn't be able to function.

Something a little different for Aviary : 89 tonight and a big thankyou to 1st Alford Scout Group - Lincolnshire for inviting us along to give a talk and presentation on Splendids and keeping and breeding parakeets as a hobby. There was plenty of interest and questions from all 3 groups which has gone some way to earning their Animal Care Badges and with any luck we may have encouraged some young aviculturists to the hobby!

⚜️⚜️What a brilliant end to the term! ⚜️⚜️

We have all had an amazing evening at 1st Alford Scout Group & Smugglers ESU.

We have seen:

- 4 Beavers invested
- 1 Cub invested
- 1 Scout invested
- 4 Explorers invested

- 59 Beaver badges presented!
- 1 moving on badge awarded!
- 51 Explorer badges awarded!

- 3 Chief SCOUT BRONZE AWARDS - the highest badge a Beaver can earn, which means they have completed all of the Challenge Badges and at least 4 activity/staged badges!

- 1 joining in Level 11 😯😯 - 11 years in Scouting!!! That means they have been through all the sections from Beavers upwards.

Massive achievements by all our young people!

A huge thankyou to Adam & Charlie for visiting us with their feathered friends for Cubs, Scouts & Explorers ( Aviary : 89 )

Was great to have Arctic ESU join us and can't wait to meet up again soon. ( 2nd Spilsby Scout Group )
