The Albrighton Trust offers educational and recreational activities for people disadvantaged by disability, special needs or illness, who are welcomed and supported whatever their capability.

We have a proven track record of supporting the most hard to reach in society providing positive outdoor activities, offering opportunities to enhance or change lives. Visitors’ health and well-being is the priority and its improvement through a programme of exciting and diverse activities which engage the imagination and push back the boundaries of normally accepted restrictions. The Resource Centre and Gardens were designed around a 13th century scheduled Moat, now converted to an angling facility with six wheelchair accessible platforms and stocked with many native species of fish. Landscaped and natural gardens offer unsurpassable recreation and relaxational opportunities with a variety of wildlife to tempt children - and adults - into active participation. The trust has worked under the expert guidance of English Heritage and also the Environment Agency both of whom have contributed greatly to the success of the overall project by offering their invaluable support at critical times of development.

If you have never visited John Massey’s superb garden, this is the opportunity for you explore one of the finest private gardens in the UK. It is a true feast for the senses and food for the soul. If you have visited before, you will know there is always a new wonder to see every time you visit.
Please ask your friends to come along too, especially if they are interested in gardens - this one is certainly something special.
There is a cafe/restaurant on site for breakfast, lunches and teas, the Navigation pub is nearby, and the excellent Roe Deer ( Brunning and Price) is just across the main Wall Heath to Kidderminster Road.
The plant nursery is also well worth a visit. There is lots more information on the website: https://www.ashwoodnurseries.com/
Admission to the garden is £8 and all funds go to the Albrighton Trust. You can pay on the day, or you can pay beforehand online, https://buytickets.at/thealbrightontrust/2243703
On the day head for the large car park on the same side of the road as the nursery buildings. Aim for the far side which adjoins John’s garden. There will be members of the Albrighton Moat team there to meet you. John’s garden will be open between 11am – 3pm and John will be around to answer any questions and talk about the development of his wonderful garden.

A huge thank you to Lee from OSB Group for kindly organising his team to volunteer in our gardens yesterday. The team did a fantastic job tidying and weeding the Dingly Dell area, and their hard work has made a real difference. We greatly appreciate their time, enthusiasm, and support. We look forward to welcoming you all back again next year!
