Today we said goodbye to our good friend, Nigel Lacey. As was expected, the turnout was very large. Between RAF WARMA, RAF Police, Tring Running Club, and Herts Police there were plenty of people to show their respect for this brilliant man. It is clear he had a positive impact on so many people and will leave a very large hole in their lives. Blue skies ‘chap’.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the death of former RAF WARMA deputy chair and long time member, Nigel Lacey. Nigel was always helping others, volunteering at events such as the RAF 2 Day March and, with the British-Dutch Walking Fellowship - BDWF, the 4Daagse in Nijmegen. He was a friendly face, always willing to support others and have a chat. Nigel had a long and distinguished service in the RAF Police, reaching the rank of Warrant Officer, before going on to be part of the Special Constabulary with Hertfordshire Police. He will, without doubt, be very much missed by all who knew him and, on behalf of the membership, the RAF WARMA committee sends their condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. RAF Sport

Congratulations to the RAF Police team! Well done all 🎉

160 km. 4 days. 25 miles per day. One team. The RAF Police 🇬🇧

They successfully completed the International Four Days Marches Nijmegen, joining over 40,000 participants from 70+ nations in the world’s largest multi-day walking event.

A proud display of resilience, teamwork and determination.

Congratulations to them all 👏🏅
