We would like to sincerely thank the family of the late Beth McAleer for the extremely generous donation they recently gave to our committee. There was a collection after her funeral and they kindly donated £225 to us.

This is such a thoughtful and humbling thing for them to do and to think of us at such a difficult time for them.

We completely appreciate it and would like to extend our appreciation and send sincere condolences to the family at this time.

We as a committee would like to sincerely thank Stevie, Julie & Lorna, family of the late Jean Collins for the incredibly generous donation of £565 they collected after her memorial service and sent it to Plains Senior Citizens Association.

We are incredibly humbled by this amazing gesture, especially at such a difficult time but we would like to say that it is very much appreciated.

She will be remembered with great fondness and she will be missed on a Friday night at our wee bingo.

Wow what a day at our Christmas party

Food, drinks, singing (thanks to Kirk James) raffles, games & laughter.

The feedback we have had is that everyone had a brilliant day and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Thank you to everyone who came along and hopefully see you all next year 🎤🎵

Wow can't believe we're in the Christmas season already 🎄

Just a wee reminder that our annual Christmas party is on Saturday 13th December in St David's Chapel Hall.

Meal is 12.30 sharp - 5pm

Everyone 60 or over in the village is more than welcome to attend.

Dinner, drinks, games & entertainment from Kirk James 🎵🎤

Please come along and make it a great day 🎅🎄

If possible can you give your names to a committee member so we know how many to cater for please? Or message here to confirm attendance....let's get as many people as possible coming along.

Just a wee reminder about our event on Thursday 13th Nov

Shopping trip to Livingston Outlets on Thursday 13th Nov. Bus leaves Bruce St at 10am sharp. All aged 60 and over from the village are welcome. If you want to come along. Bus is free and will return at 4pm. If possible please give your name to a committee member for numbers.

Wow what can we say except a massive thank you to everyone who came to our prize bingo night last night 👏

We managed to raise a massive £1515.50 (this includes a couple of private donations).

We are absolutely delighted with the turnout on the night and extremely grateful for all of the fantastic prizes that were donated to make the night a great success.

This will allow us to continue fund future events and without everyone's support we wouldn't be able to do this.

Plains Senior Citizens Association are having their annual prize bingo night on Tuesday 21st October at 7pm in St David's Chapel Hall

All welcome

Tickets can be obtained from any committee member or pay at the door.

We would also be extremely grateful for the donation of any prizes so we can make it another great success.

Any prizes can be handed in to any committee member or we can pick them up if necessary.

This is just a wee update to let everyone know that the Friday night bingo in the community centre will be postponed until 7th March.

We hope that everyone will understand given the sudden bereavement that Janice McHugh and her family have gone through recently. Janice works so hard for our committee and it's only right she takes time for herself at the moment.

Our sincere condolences to Janice, Gary and the McHugh family at such a difficult time.

Please share with family and friend to let everyone know of the current update.

This is just a wee notice to tell everyone they the Friday night bingo in the community centre is going to be cancelled for the next 3-4 weeks at least.

Janice McHugh who runs the bingo has unfortunately had a sudden bereavement (her husband Chic has passed away for anyone who doesn't know) so to allow her to deal with this it will be postponed just now.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and send Janice and her family our heartfelt condolences ❤️🙏

Please share with family and friends or if you know anyone who attends the bingo so they don't turn up unnecessarily, especially in this cold weather
