We’re so excited to welcome Zoe Taylor Dance Academy back to the ConneXtion stage for another year! 💙

Over the last 2 years, ConneXtion has been incredibly lucky to connect with so many amazing dance schools, teachers, choreographers and young people across the UK, creating a space where different stories, styles and perspectives can come together through the power of dance.

We can’t wait to see what Zoe Taylor Dance Academy bring to the stage this year. There’s something so special about watching returning schools grow, evolve and continue to use dance as a way to connect, communicate and inspire.

We’re currently working hard behind the scenes to finalise this year’s cast list & continue announcing all of the incredible schools, dancers and creatives joining us for ConneXtion 2026! 🥳✨

If you’ve been invited to take part, or you’ve expressed an interest in joining us, please check your emails and make sure everything we’ve requested is sent through to us ASAP! ⌛️

The deadline has now officially passed, and with the showcase fast approaching, we need to get the final pieces in place 🌍✨️

We are incredibly proud to introduce the young people who make up the heart of The P.A.N.D.A Project Cast 🌍✨️

These talented performers are not only preparing to take to the stage at Blackburn Empire Theatre for ConneXtion - The Dance Showcase 2026, but are also helping us use dance as a platform to explore important social issues, spark conversation, and inspire positive change.

Through creativity, collaboration and courage, this cast will help bring this year's powerful theme to life:

🌍 RACISM & ITS EFFECTS

Together, they will explore stories of identity, belonging, exclusion, resilience, understanding and unity through the power of performance.

We're so excited to welcome Aspire Dance & Stage back to ConneXtion for a second year! 🌍✨️

One of the most powerful things about ConneXtion is that every school brings something unique.

Every perspective and performance teaches us something new.

When we take the time to connect, we don't just become better dancers, we become better people.

We're so grateful to have connected with the Aspire team and can't wait to experience their next performance. If last year was anything to go by, it's going to be incredible. ✨

✨ CAST ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

We are incredibly proud to introduce the 3rd act of our ConneXtion 2026 cast . . .

✨️🌍 POPPY JOHNSON 🌍✨️

Poppy joins us as our first selected Young Choreographer, bringing a thoughtful and powerful creative voice to this year's theme: Racism.

Her application demonstrated maturity, sensitivity and a genuine desire to use dance as a platform for storytelling, reflection and change. Through her choreography, Poppy will explore the barriers, exclusion and search for belonging that many people experience, using movement to communicate a message that truly matters.

At just 16 years old, she has already shown the courage to tackle important conversations through the arts, and we cannot wait to support her journey as her piece develops for the ConneXtion stage.

Please join us in congratulating Poppy on this fantastic opportunity! 👏💙

It’s history & lived experiences.

Racism didn’t disappear, it evolved, it changed and it continues to affect how people experience the world today.

At ConneXtion, we don’t use dance just to perform.

We use it to reflect, to listen and to create space for conversations that matter.

Because change starts with awareness. Because dance is a tool to share what we can't always communicate & express.

Awareness starts with understanding & then action.

ConneXtion is that action & we're so proud to have created this unique platform to do this 🌍🙌🏾✨️
