We are a Beaver group age 6-8 years , a Cub group age 8-10.5 & Scout group age 10.5 -14 years
We are based in the village of Abermule , nr Newtown , Mid Wales and meet on a Wednesday night from 6.30pm - 8pm

All groups were very busy last night.
Beavers were blind tasting to try and identify different foods and voted chocolate as their favourite!😀
Cubs made bird feeders, flower bombs and a bee watering station.
Scouts continued with their navigator badge work.
The evening finished with the presentation of Bronze Awards to Hazel and Rhys and a Silver Award to Arthur. Well done !

Car Boot Sale 4th July 2026

We are organising the car boot sale to raise funds for our Scout Group and need help on the day from parents.
Please sign up on the sheet with your leader. We need to cover 7:00a.m to 1:00 p.m.
We are asking parents to sign up for a 2 hour slot to help it run smoothly.
We will also be asking for cakes to sell please. The cakes ingredients need to be clearly labelled.
We look forward to your support.

Scouts and Cubs were busy starting new badges this week. Cubs are working towards their naturalist badge and Scouts their navigator badge.Cubs learned the countryside code and started nature diaries which they will complete at home.
The scouts were map reading.

Beavers visited Gregynog Hall to complete their My Skills Challenge Badge.
We had a great time walking and building dens. They worked well in teams and their dens were fantastic , well done everyone!

Another big build for the Scouts this week as they constructed a zip line and tested it out.
Cubs played rope games including a tug of war finale of adults v cubs. It was close but the adults were the winners by 2:1

Beavers visit to Gregynog Hall
Please remember that we are meeting at the earlier time of 6:15 at Gregynog and finishing at 7:30.
Remember to bring inhalers, rain coats, drinks, snack, gloves and wear suitable footwear.
