CAMPING OPEN
Camping guests welcome!

£6 per person per night
Tents only
Currently toilet only - no shower yet (we're working on it)
No need to book - just turn up!
No dogs (we have livestock on site)

We're still seeking more people to help build this project. The deal is simple - you can stay as long as you like if you help with day-to-day tasks.
Right now it's ground zero. Planting needs to start ASAP so we can get a harvest this year. We need:

Someone who can bake bread, rolls, etc
Someone who can look after bees, process honey, bees wax, etc
Growers, builders, animal carers
Anyone willing to get stuck in.

If you're tired of the system and want to be part of building something real and sustainable, this is your chance.

Please note: This is farmland camping. We have livestock including cockerels, so expect early morning crowing and other farm sounds. It's all part of the authentic farm experience!

The commune is coming together — Historic character meets everything you need, nothing you don't.

Washing machine, fridge freezer, Eggs from our own hens, and spices gathered from near and far; allspice berries, ginger, cloves, and our own Llanrhystud grey salt — straight from the beach 7 miles away.

Lewis Pidoux's foraging book sits open for anyone who wants to explore what grows beyond the door.

Oh, and a separate toilet and shower room too.

This is what we've been building. Nearly there.

Quick Progress Update

Weather's still not the best, but we've had a dry day or two which has been brilliant. Apparently we're due some longer dry spells coming up - fingers crossed!

Simon and I have been doing bits here and there. The communal area with sink, cooking area, toilet, shower, and fridge is almost done.

We've built a couple of log stores and tidied up a bit around the place.

We chatted about the parachute canopy today - hoping to get that done within the next week or two, weather permitting.

Slowly but surely getting things sorted!

First Volunteer Arrived!
Our first volunteer Simon turned up on Friday and we've been progressing well between the rain showers!

We've built a log store, tidied up a bit, and started getting things properly organised.

While it has been raining a lot, it certainly feels like the weather's taking a turn for the better. Getting the odd bits of sunshine is great and reminds me of what a lovely place this is in the spring/summer - it's certainly worth it!

Two more volunteers expected in the next couple of weeks. Things are really starting to move now!

Weather Update
We've had several storms and yellow rain warnings lately, and it's just not allowed us to do anything towards preparing for the first meetup. The ground is completely saturated and conditions are miserable.
Late Feb/Early March is looking more likely at this point - we'll wait for better weather when we can actually get things set up properly and people can enjoy coming to visit without standing in a bog!
In the meantime, don't forget to keep sharing and spreading the word!
As always, we'll keep everyone updated. Thanks for your patience!

Quick Update
After the snow we expected the weather to at least brighten up even if it stayed cold, but it's been a complete washout. This has completely ruined our plans for a January meetup.
We're going to wait out this bad spell of weather and then make a decision on when we can actually get things sorted and set a proper date. No point trying to force it in these conditions - nobody wants to be stood in a muddy field in freezing rain!
We'll keep you all updated as soon as the weather improves and we can crack on with preparations.
Thanks for your patience everyone!
