Cross Inn Fete on Saturday 🎶

They’ll be debuting their new line up of bands & it is going to go off 🤘

All about the bass!

Great session on Friday focusing on bass guitar for the first hour.
Then both Pink Dust and Pogshot had great rehearsals - some beautiful harmonies emerging from Pink Dust and Pogshot worked hard on the arrangements for their original song. They’re booked into a studio in August to record 🎶
The Rocky Roads and Pitgirl made good use of our second room & were sounding great.

Thanks to kind donations, we were proud to be able to lend out a saxophone, oboe and acoustic guitar from our instrument library. We have some very excited members who are looking forward to trying them out!

Yna cafodd Pink Dust a Pogshot ymarferion gwych – roedd rhai harmonïau hardd yn dod i’r amlwg gan Pink Dust, a gweithiodd Pogshot yn galed ar drefniannau eu cân wreiddiol. Maen nhw wedi archebu stiwdio ym mis Awst i recordio 🎶

Gwnaeth The Rocky Roads a Pitgirl ddefnydd da o’n hail ystafell ac roeddent yn swnio’n wych.

Roeddem yn falch o allu benthyca sacsoffon, obo a gitâr acwstig o’n llyfrgell offerynnau. Mae gennym rai aelodau cyffrous iawn sy’n edrych ymlaen at roi cynnig arnynt!

We love how diverse our young musicians’ music taste is…. We started the session learning The Beatles and ended with Depeche Mode….

We have some exciting gigs lined up so WATCH THIS SPACE!!

Rydyn ni’n caru pa mor amrywiol yw chwaeth gerddorol ein cerddorion ifanc…. Fe ddechreuon ni’r sesiwn yn dysgu caneuon gan The Beatles ac fe orffennon ni gyda Depeche Mode….

Focus on drums & bass guitar!
The last two weeks we’ve spent time learning some basics. These new focus sections at the start of our sessions are proving popular with lots of our young people trying out new things.

That leaves the rest of the time to put what we’ve learnt in to practice.

Next week it’s vocals 🎶

Dros y pythefnos diwethaf, rydyn ni wedi treulio amser yn dysgu rhai o’r pethau sylfaenol. Mae’r sesiynau ffocws newydd hyn ar ddechrau ein sesiynau yn profi’n boblogaidd, gyda llawer o’n pobl ifanc yn rhoi cynnig ar bethau newydd.

Mae hynny’n gadael gweddill yr amser i roi’r hyn rydyn ni wedi’i ddysgu ar waith.

All about guitars!
Popeth am gitarau!

We spent time with our guitarists (& some who wanted to give it a go) tonight learning some useful techniques which will come in handy in songwriting & when playing covers 🎸

Treulion ni amser gyda’n gitareddwyr (a rhai oedd eisiau rhoi cynnig arni) heno yn dysgu rhai technegau defnyddiol a fydd yn dod yn handi wrth gyfansoddi caneuon ac wrth chwarae caneuon eraill 🎸
