Whether you use a chainsaw, brushcutter or other power tools, work in forestry, conservation or land management, or simply spend lots of your free time enjoying outdoor pursuits, having the right first aid skills can be invaluable.

You'll cover topics including:

🩸 Wounds and bleeding
🦴 Bone, joint, muscle and spinal injuries
🔥 Burns and electric shock
🐝 Bites, stings and anaphylaxis
❄️ Effects of heat and cold
❤️ Resuscitation and AED use
🤕 Head, chest and abdominal injuries

📅 26 & 27 November 2026
⏰ 8.45am–5pm, for 2 days
💷 £160 per person

The course is Ofqual regulated, runs for 16 hours and meets NGB requirements, with an option to obtain an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate for an additional fee.

🌧️ And yes, much of the training takes place outdoors whatever the weather, so it's proper outdoor first aid training for people who actually spend time outdoors!

Dych chi'n nabod 'Dau Gi Bach'?
Do you know 'Two Little Dogs'?

Mwynhaodd ein grŵp cerdded Cymraeg daith gerdded hyfryd arall ddoe, gan gyfuno awyr iach, cwmni da a digon o gyfleoedd i ymarfer Cymraeg.

Ar hyd y ffordd, dysgodd y grŵp hefyd am yr hwiangerdd Gymraeg Dau Gi Bach 🐶🐶, gan ychwanegu ychydig o ddiwylliant a thraddodiad Cymreig at y daith gerdded.

Ffordd hyfryd i ddysgu, sgwrsio a mwynhau cefn gwlad gyda’n gilydd mewn grŵp lle mae pawb yn cael eu cynnwys a’u hannog, beth bynnag fo’u hyder neu eu gallu i siarad Cymraeg. Dewch i roi cynnig arni!

Our Welsh language walking group enjoyed another lovely walk yesterday, combining fresh air, good company and plenty of opportunities to practise Cymraeg.

Along the way, the group also learnt about the Welsh nursery rhyme Dau Gi Bach 🐶🐶, adding a little Welsh culture and tradition to the walk.

A lovely way to learn, chat and enjoy the countryside together in a group where everyone is included and encouraged, whatever their confidence or ability in speaking Welsh. Come and give it a go!

Last week our course participants had a great time making bug hotels... Julie enjoyed it so much that she immediately went home and made another with the family, and her bug hotel now has pride of place, tucked into a bug friendly spot in her garden.

This course was one of our Green Skills courses, funded by Grannell Community Energy and we still have Winter Tree ID and Coppicing to come later in the year. Visit the website to see if you are eligible for a free space. Paid spaces also available.
