📣Announcement (English): The Festival du Cinéma Aborigène Aust in Paris, France is proud to announce the appointment of award-winning Muruwari and Gomeroi investigative journalist, director, and screenwriter (Allan Clarke), as it’s new Festival Director & Artistic Director.
Clarke steps into the role to helm the festival’s landmark 11th edition, scheduled to take place in Paris from 4 to 6 December 2026, with screenings hosted across the iconic L'Arlequin and Reflet Médicis.
The award winning filmmaker brings to his new role a wealth of experience across cinema, journalism and the Australian First Nations cultural sector.
He succeeds Greta Morton Elangué , founder of the festival who, since 2016 has built an essential platform for bringing the voices and stories of Australian First Nations filmmakers to audiences in France.
“ At the heart of this work is the opportunity to discover a whole other perspective of Australia through the vision and craft of Blak Australian filmmakers- a perspective still too often absent from the platforms and screens through which French audiences discover Australian cinema” says the founder.
