Come to Career Day and meet employers across Uusimaa region who have a positive attitude towards working in Swedish. You’ll pick up tips on writing a CV, make valuable contacts, and get to know different workplaces up close.

💛 How can we make our organisations more inclusive and welcoming to everyone?

Creating a more equal and inclusive society takes more than good intentions. But where do we start, and what practical tools can help us make a difference?

On 5 November, The Inclusion Network invites organisations and associations to an online networking session focused on practical ways to prevent discrimination, strengthen inclusion and promote anti-racism.

We'll hear from two speakers:

🔹 Jonna Varsa, from the Youth Sector's Competence Center for Equal Treatment, who will introduce free training opportunities and Swedish-language resources that organisations can use in their work.

🔹 Emina Arnautovic, from Folkhälsan, who will share insights and lessons learned from ENADE, a project working towards a more anti-racist and inclusive association life.

There will also be time to exchange ideas, reflect together and discuss how we can put these tools into practice in our own organisations.

📚 Looking for a little inspiration, a good book or a chance to practise your Swedish?

Helsinki Book Fair (Helsingfors Bokmässa) is coming up on 22–25 October!

Whether you're already comfortable reading in Swedish or just starting to explore the language, the book fair is a lovely opportunity to discover something new.

You'll find Swedish-language books, magazines, interesting talks and plenty of opportunities to get to know the Finland-Swedish literary and cultural scene.

And you don't have to be a big reader to enjoy it! Maybe you'll discover a new author, pick up a magazine in Swedish or simply enjoy being surrounded by stories and conversations.

We made it to the KotoTeko 2026 finalist list! 🎉💛

We’re so grateful that the impact of JobBuddies has been recognised. Every two years, KotoTeko highlights work that promotes equality in Finnish working life and strengthens the employment of immigrants, and being a finalist is already a win for us. 🏆

This recognition belongs to our mentees, who bring so much courage and talent, and to our mentors, who generously share their time and experience. As our Project Coordinator Julia Qesteri puts it: “We give everyone the opportunity to show what they are capable of!”

💙 Luckan Integrationin JobBuddies-ryhmämentorointi yhdistää korkeakoulutetut maahanmuuttaneet saman alan kokeneisiin asiantuntijoihin ja rakentaa ammatillisia verkostoja. Osallistujat saavat tukea urapolulleen esimerkiksi rekrytointiin ja työhaastatteluihin. Yli 40 % osallistujista on työllistynyt, jatkanut opintoihin tai perustanut oman yrityksen.

🏆 Kahden vuoden välein jaettavalla KotoTeko-tunnustuksella nostamme esiin Suomessa tehtävää työtä kotoutumisen edistämiseksi. Tämän vuoden teemana on suomalaisen työelämän yhdenvertaisuuden edistäminen ja maahanmuuttaneiden työllisyyden vahvistaminen. Tunnustus jaetaan keskiviikkona 28.10. Vantaalla kotoutumisen valtakunnallisen Integration 2026 -tapahtuman iltajuhlan yhteydessä.
