• VI TAGER ALTID UDGANGSPUNKT I DEN ENKELTE, hvorfor alle forløb vil være skræddersyede. Vi ønsker på den måde at skabe nærhed og stræber samtidig efter at optimere den enkeltes potentiale på den mest hensigtsmæssige måde.
• I GLOBAL CONNECTION ØNSKER VI ÅBENHED OG GENNEMSIGTIGHED UNDER ALLE FORLØB. Dette gælder både vedrørende vedtægter, årsrapporter og budget, men også hvad angår volontørers og frivilliges personlige beretninger, som vi deler uredigeret. Global Connection støtter udelukkende bæredygtige projekter og gode initiativer, som ligger indenfor organisationens værdier. VI GØR OS STORE TANKER OM, hvordan vi som organisation kan være med til at gøre verden til et mere bæredygtigt og positivt sted at være. Vi har derfor udarbejdet en strategi for, hvordan vi som organisation kan udvikle os og samtidig nå så bredt ud i verden som muligt. DET ER EN MOTIVATIONSFAKTOR FOR OS, at samarbejdet med den studerende eller frivillige og NGO'en skal være lærerigt og inspirerende, hvilket betyder at vi bruger rigtig meget tid på at finde det perfekte match mellem den enkelte studerende og NGO'en. Udover at imødekomme den pågældende undervisningsinstitutions læringsmål, er der andre ting der også er essentielle for en god praktik.Her er spørgsmål om personlige mål, kulturelle præferencer mm. ikke uvæsentlige, og det er derfor vigtigt for os at inkorporere denne dimension i vores arbejde, da bæredygtig hjælp skal tilpasses den enkelte, NGO’en og livet omkring den. Vi brænder for at tilbyde denne assistance til så mange som muligt, da vi tror at et praktikophold vil være udfordrende, lærerigt og ikke mindst udviklende for den enkelte. På egen hånd har vi erfaret hvordan det at have praktisk erfaring er en kæmpe force, - især når man som studerende savner at knytte teorier til virkeligheden i en international og interkulturel kontekst. PARTNERSKABER OG PROJEKTER

Projekterne findes i: Cambodja, Nepal, Thailand, Kenya og Fillipnierne. Projekterne omhandler: Kamp imod menneskehandel, fattigdomsbekæmpelse, skoleprojekter for at bekæmpe fattigdom, redde havskildpadder. Global Connection is a Danish NGO working to make it accessible for volunteers to make a difference by helping out on sustainable projects in developing countries. This is the organisation's first goal, but the work will expand with the success of sending dedicated volunteers out to support sustainable projects. By creating access to development projects around the world, our goal is, generally speaking, to make the world a better place. In Global Connection we wish to contribute to a world, where accessibility is possible for everyone wanting to take share of the issues that the world is dealing with. Thus we strive for a world where everybody has the possibility of joining and bringing in it’s own unique competencies and dedication, in order to combat poverty and promote human rights in areas most vulnerable. We want to ensure that everyone working for a specific project is made valuable to the projects they are involved in, which is why we take the individual very seriously. We support sustainable development projects that already exist. We think it is rewarding and exciting to support the good work that is already out there, and we want you to be a part of it as well. Through close relationships with local organizations in developing countries we match volunteers to projects in order for the volunteer to contribute in the best possible way, thus both organization and volunteer profit from the cooperation. Before deciding on which project is the right for you, we want to get to know you and your specific qualifications and experiences. Thus we will invite you to a non-committed introduction, which will be followed up on a second meeting, in case you want to join a project. We provide you with bunks of information about the project and the country that you are going to visit as well as we will introduce you to cultural guidelines. We take care of the communication with the partner organization and we will support you in the practical setup, whether you need insurance, approval from University, links to cheap flight tickets etc. No matter what, we insist on keeping costs low and quality high. You are a person who share our passion for developing and helping where such is needed and is ready to use personal drive and abilities, both social and professional, to reach these goals. In Global Connection we believe that everyone who have the ambition to make the world a better place, should be given the opportunity to help, so no matter what background you have, we will try to find the perfect match between you and our partners. What can we do for you (looking for volunteering)? If you are looking for a life experience and want to gain hands-on knowledge we offer personally tailored internships or volunteer programs in different countries with our partners. We have partners in Cambodia, Kenya, Nepal, Thailand and the Philippines. Their projects are within: combating human trafficking, advocacy in the civil society, education, shelters for children, farming and human rights empowerment and much more.

(In English see below) Global Connection ønsker at bygge bro mellem frivillige kræfter i Danmark og udenlandske organisationer, som har brug for ekstra hænder i forskellige lande såsom Cambodja, Thailand, Kenya mm. Global Connection er bygget op om tre kerneværdier; ansvarsbevidsthed, individbaseret og troværdighed, hvilke er omdrejningspunktet i alle de relationer vi indgår i.
