SAME stands for "Solidarity Action Day Movement in Europe"

We are a network of several European youth organizations that carry out an annual Solidarity Action Day. During this day, pupils work in a company instead of going to school. Their salaries are used to support youth projects in the whole world. The network stimulates young people worldwide to work together for a sustainable and fair world. SAME enables young people from different backgrounds to le

arn from each other with the aim of strengthening their sense of social, ecological and economical responsibility and their competences, to become active citizens in their societies. SAME organizations spread their message through a variety of channels to reach a broad spectrum of people. The network believes in the power of youth and wants to make their voice heard. Meet our chairwoman of SAME council! 🥑
Tungjatjeta! My name is Paola and I am 22 years old. I have studied Political Science and International Relations.I currently work in civil society, focusing on parliamentary processes, with a particular emphasis on women’s and youth participation, and I serve as the Chairwoman of the Council of the SAME Network.👩🏼‍💻
My everyday work is highly formal and policy-oriented, while SAME represents a complementary space where I engage in more youth-led, dynamic, and community-focused initiatives 🤝.

My vision for this mandate is to make the network stronger, more sustainable, and more member-based, by encouraging organizations within the network to take greater ownership of its growth and impact. 💪🌱
After my mandate, I see SAME as an even more connected, influential, and empowering space for young people and organizations across the region.🌍

I have many meaningful moments within the SAME Network, so it is difficult to choose just one 😊. It has been a great pleasure to serve as a trainer for organizations that joined the network from Armenia 🇦🇲, Moldova 🇲🇩, Romania 🇷🇴, Georgia 🇬🇪, and Portugal 🇵🇹, and to connect with such motivated young people throughout the process.

Beyond the trainings, one of my most *khem, memorable experiences has also been serving drinks at the bar during the events and enjoying the informal side of our community together.🤫🍹

My name is Imelda, I come from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I am 21 years old. I am currently studying Management, Economics, and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne.
I strongly believe in student representation and solidarity in action! 🌍

My vision for this mandate is to help make SAME stronger as an organization and contribute to its transformation, especially since this year will be a very important one for us. At the same time, I want us to always stay true to the way we “do things in this house”: by, with, and for young people 🧱

Choosing my favorite SAME moment was extremely difficult, but if I had to pick one, I would definitely say Actival’26 ✨
It will always remain one of my most cherished memories!🫂

Hi, I’m Rreze, a Computer and Software Engineering student 👩🏼‍💻 with lots of experience in youth work. Alongside my studies, I’ve been actively involved in youth organizations and initiatives focused on participation and community impact. 🌱

My vision for my mandate was to expand SAME’s reach and bring its impact to even more young people across Europe 🌍. By the end of my mandate, I know SAME will be entering a new chapter. It will be stronger and more connected. 🔗

My favorite and most memorable moment with SAME for sure is the Summer Camp 2025 🏕️. The week-long stay in the woods really brought us all so much closer and created shared memories that we will all cherish for a long time 🫂.

My name is Alberto, I’m 20 years old and currently studying Economics in Milano 🇮🇹📚 Before my involvement with SAME, I was active as a council representative and volunteer for Social Day Italy, as well as an active volunteer in the Italian Red Cross, taking part in a broad range of activities. I’m most intrigued by governance, structure, and the activities within an organisation. 🏛️

During my first year as a Board Member, I was responsible for all the activities and seminars organised by SAME, as well as for Actival. I had so much fun and I don’t see why I should stop, therefore this year I will continue working in the same work field, but with some interesting differences regarding the involvement of other parties, mainly thanks to our new strategic plan!🚀

My favorite moment? Definitely all the time spent with the board 💛

Hi everyone, I’m Enia from Albania. ✨ I am 22 years old and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Science at the University of Salzburg, while also being actively involved in youth rights advocacy. 🎓

Over the last year, SAME has been going through a real metamorphosis an important transformation shaped by all of us together. 🐛By the end of my mandate, I hope SAME will have strengthened its foundations and become even more self-sustaining, carried forward by the strength of the network itself.🦋

Actival for Future is always such a blast!!! So much thoughts, passion, and energy are invested into it, and for many young people across Europe it becomes their very first encounter with the ✨SAME magic✨

Hey everyone! I am Mariam, a new board member from Georgia!☀️
I recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I am currently volunteering in Denmark to promote sustainable and communal ways of living across the world. 🔋I strongly believe in change and in the power of youth, and I am very happy to contribute to this journey. 📝
I feel like I joined SAME at a very defining moment, as we are planning many exciting things for the coming years. After my mandate, I see SAME becoming even more inspiring, promising, and exciting for young people.•.°⋆:🍀:࿔*:･
The SAD 4 Beginners Conference was my very first SAME event, and it is still my favorite SAME memory so far! I met amazing people whom I am still in touch with today, and I learned a lot throughout the experience. That conference is what sparked my deeper interest in SAME - and now, here we are! Those days always bring a smile to my face, and I hope many more beautiful memories are yet to come‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
