Beyond Moms is a non profit organization That I personally have started to help raise awareness for the lack of foster homes within our community. Also to help families of kinship the resources they much need and deserve.
Did you know that there are 300 plus children in foster care in Windsor-Essex and only 150 homes?

As I sit here on the couch, still wearing my pyjamas. I start to think of what else O could be doing. I’ve been contemplating on how to start a blog and start blogging. I was told by many I’d be very good at this and public speaking because my story... the good and the bad will speak to people. The honest truth of what has happened, what is happening and what is yet to happen. So I’ll be starting soon and hopefully you’ll read it.

Beyond Mom’s was chosen as the name because as women we are above and beyond . A mom doesn’t necessarily mean you have children , you can take it as your a mother to many through teaching. Your a mother through adoption, kinship, foster and many more ways to describe a mother. Women were created to not only mother, but to nurture. Anything we do.... we were born to show our emotions and live through them. I know many women who struggle with infertility and feel less then a woman. If you fall into that category ....... I want you to know you are not alone and even tho you personally cannot create...... you have probably done more by showing your a nurturer in another way and will find your way to fit your version of a woman.

As women I truly believe if we got passed our own egos and worked together.... women would rule this world. We are actually pretty incredible human beings. We are able to endure the pain of 42 bones breaking at once and be completely fine within a few hours. We probably go through 10 emotions or more on a day and yet still fine sanity. Women crave balance. We crave a sense of worth and stability. We have proven way more then once we can do just about anything as long as we put our mind into it.

So back into Beyond Mom’s ! Which I pray we flatten the curve by November 9th for our first annual event.
I created this non profit with the intent to help raise money for families of kinship and foster children and to also raise awareness for the lack of foster homes within our community. I plan to expand this province wide and then ultimately Canada wide.

I’m using my platform as Mrs Galaxy Windsor to make myself herd. It starts with the children, the best generation. By doing our part in leaving our community better then how we came to be. I’m not saying have children of you don’t want any, I’m not saying adopt a child if you are not ready or cannot take the responsibility. I’m trying to say help in any way you can. Spread the word to as many people as you can in order to help the 250 kids currently in foster care and help the families of kinship financially so kids can stay with families if possible. Kids are taken at any given time of the day or night and with the drug epidemic , it’s happening more and more.

My ultimate goal! To give these kids hope! To break the link between childhood trauma that could lead to mental illness and much more as we see happening within our own city.

Why I help the homeless..... because they are people to. Because I once was heavily involved in drugs and by the grace of god and a mom who never gave up on me ..... I got clean! Drug users , the homeless (some don’t even do drugs) they were once born, with cute little feet and a cute lil baby bum.

The bible says to treat thy neighbour as thy self. Even a smile 😃 could help someone recognize 🙂

I hope everyone is staying safe out there! For now we’re kinda temporarily on hold. Any new news will be posted. As of now , the health unit has only cancelled gatherings until July so A magical Day of Adventures is still a go! When we have more news Early Bird specials will be posted !

Magical Melody Princess Parties will be at a magical day of adventures with a special performance for all our frozen lovers ! I’ve had Queen Elsa for my daughters birthday and I can’t say anything short of an amazing VIP experience! From the moment they walked in , till the moment they left. Top notch performance ! I'm so excited to announce that we are approved by the government and we are officially a nonprofit organization!
We are currently accepting any travel-size items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes ect.. we started beyond moms to give back to our community.

Beyond moms nonprofit organization is raising Awareness and money to finance the cost of care kits luggage or backpacks,clothes, toothbrush and any personal items for kids in foster care. There are over 260 plus kids in foster care and only 140 homes available here in our local community. Children are currently being sent out of the city due to not having enough families available to care for them.
Children leave their homes with absolutely nothing to bring. Our goal is to be able to make a child feel a little more comfortable by providing them with a care kit so they don't leave home with garbage bags.

On November 8, 2020 we will be hosting A Day of magical adventures by Beyond mom's. This fundraiser includes a night full of fun activities that will raise awareness for children in foster care.
