Project Periwinkle Begins!!

Project Periwinkle is an invasive species removal project on the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula in Miller Lake Ontario. Summer House Park and The Green Herons, with the help of the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada’s APE Fund, have come together with a community action project to remove invasive ground cover within the campground. Volunteers can trade garbage bins of invasive plants in for ice cream cones and then black tarp solarizing will begin for the next two years. Stopping the spread of invasive plants protects delicate and important ecosystems.

A huge shout out to Great Ape Empire for hosting our camp kids this afternoon. These kids have had some amazing opportunities but the memories made today were next level. What a set up - Dan is a wicked host!! If you are headed to Wiarton Ont this summer you have to stop by!!

Jordan Trash Project FUNDED FOR SUMMER!

Thank you to the Niagara Rowing School and Paddlesports Centre for another donation of boat rentals so we could collect the hard-to-access garbage this weekend!!
