Wiarton District Optimist Club

Wiarton District Optimist Club We are a volunteer group of men and women who organize and support local youth projects within the community of Wiarton and surrounding area.

We meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month beginning at 7pm at the Wiarton Propeller Club to plan activites to better the lives of youth in our community, all the while having fun! Our club works under a parent organization called Optimist International which represents and supports many youth orientated clubs throughout the world. Where we meet

We meet in January, March, May, July, September & November on the 2nd Wednesday of each month beginning at 7pm

We meetin in February, April, June, August, October, & December on the 2nd Wednesday of each month beginning with a potluck supper at 6pm followed by a meeting at 7pm

The Wiarton District Optimist Club extends our sincere thanks to everyone who supported, volunteered, sponsored, participated, and celebrated with us during our Canada Day celebrations at Bluewater Park. A special thank you to: Wiarton Home Hardware Building Center, Lloyd’s, Great Canadian Dollar Store, Frosty Freeze, Tim Horton’s, Wiarton Curling Club, Pocock’s, OPP, Town of South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department, Rydall Towing, Ryke, Cart Boss- Steve Holke, Instabooth Grey Bruce, Tipsy Tavern, Home Depot, Miner’s Maple Products, Town of South Bruce Peninsula, Bruce Peninsula Septic Service, McLaren’s Pipes and Drums, Wiarton Legion, Alex Ruff and Paul Vickers- MP and MPP, and South Bruce Peninsula Town Council.
Your generosity, partnership, and community spirit helped make this year’s Canada Day celebration a tremendous success- even with some weather that blew in and the heat! We are truly grateful for your support. If I have unintentionally missed anyone, please accept my sincere apologies and know that your contribution is deeply appreciated! Every volunteer, sponsor, donor, performer, vendor, community partner and attendee played an important role in making this event possible.
