The Wiarton District Optimist Club recently held their Shop with a Cop at Wiarton Foodland. Schools participating this year were PSDS, Amabel-Sauble Community School, Ecole Hepworth Central Public School, Bruce Peninsula District School and Kikendaasogamig Elementary School. The winner was Kikendaasogamig Elementary School with a total of $199.99. It all came down to one banana! Congratulations! The rules are each school is allowed to spend $200.00 without going over. The school closest to $200.00 is the winning team. 336 pounds of food was collected for the Food Bank. Thank you to Stephanie and Tom for allowing us to disrupt your store for the morning, Roni for representing the Food bank, the OPP officers for being such great sports and all the schools and children that participated. It was a great success.
