The City of Wetaskiwin is proud to partner with Connect Wetaskiwin to provide FREE bus transportation to the Samson Cree Nation Powwow on Saturday, August 8.

If you're attending a powwow for the first time, join Connect Wetaskiwin at 11:00 AM at the Manluk Centre for a brief introduction to powwow etiquette, traditions, and what to expect before the trip.

The bus departs from Co-op Place at 12:00 PM and returns at 4:00 PM.

We Don't Judge if your kiddo needs school supplies, no matter what your financial situation is.
Register with us and we will place your name on the list
Bring your child on Aug 25.2026 to collect school supplies.
Each child will receive a school supply package.
Packages may vary dependent on grade.
Package will contain. pencils, pens, rulers, erasers, glue sticks, markers, duo tangs, lined paper, binders, crayons, pencil crayons, etc.
This event is completely free and donated by Millet Helping Hands and Members of Millet Business Association.
All Businesses, Community Groups, and Residents wishing to donate school supplies or e-transfer towards purchasing supplies please contact Millet Helping Hands and attach your name or business card to your donation for a later THANK YOU recognition.
