Ocotber 14 2025 Update on Lion Rudy Hartke
The family announced a viewing on Ocotber 21st from 6pm to 9pm at the Serenity Funeral home in Leduc AB.
The funeral service date has not been released at this time.
There will be a celebration of life in Rudy's style on Febuary 21 2026
location and time not released yet. This event is by invation only.

The Wetaskiwin Lion's Club wishes to sadly announce the death of long time Lion's Member Rudy Hartke today at 12:30pm. He passed from the complications of surgery. No details of the service available at this time but will be posted as soon as possible.
Lion rudy was a member in good standing since 1990. He held several offices within the club during those years of service. He had recieved several awrds including the Melvin Jones Fellowship awarded in 1999.
Lion Rudy Hartke will be missed by the members of this club and the members of District C-1 Zone 12.
All of our prayers are with the family in this time of greif.

The Wetaskiwin Lions Club 2025 Meat raffle winners for this year were drawn at the race track right before the fireworks show on July 01st. the winners are as follows:
The first $150 meat package was Rob Brietzke
The Sceond $150 meat package wa Kalan Pham-Le
The winner of the $200 meat package was David Reed
The winner of the $300 meat package was Jack Belliveau

The hoverboard from the STRIDES Walk for Diabetes was drawn at the same time and the winner is Dawn Berg

The 50/50 winner of the Canada Day event at the Edmonton International Raceway was Daniel Miller for a pot of $175
The proceeds are going to the Nacy Aikman Emegency Relief fund. This fund can be applied for through the Wetaskiwin Lions Club in writting at P.O. Box 6281 T9A 2E9
