Latin Voices Society is a nonprofit dedicated to amplifying Latin immigrant stories and fostering cultural understanding in the Okanagan community.

The Latin Voices Society is a nonprofit organization based in the beautiful Okanagan region, committed to empowering the Latino community and sharing the richness of Latin culture with others. While we officially became a nonprofit in 2024, our team has been actively involved in the community since 2019. During this time, we have organized and participated in numerous community events, collaborating with other organizations and groups to celebrate and promote Latino heritage. We strive to create opportunities for connection, learning, and growth through cultural, educational, and professional initiatives. With deep roots in the Okanagan community, we are proud to continue building bridges and celebrating the vibrant traditions of Latin culture with everyone.

Taste the Tradition at Día de los Mu***os 2026

The Outdoor Food Court menu for Día de los Mu***os 2026 is officially set. Browse the photos to see what our vendors will be serving this Sunday, November 1st at the Kelowna Event Centre:

• Two Brothers: Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and quesabirrias (+ Hot Chocolate)
• Taam Restaurant: Tamales, pozole rojo, menudo, and birria consomé (+ Champurrado)
• Tak-Oh: Red and green chilaquiles, tostilocos, esquites, and elotes (+ Hot Chocolate)
• Casa de Frida: Assorted tostadas and churros (+ Café de Olla)
• Manchego: Strawberries with cream, pancakes, and dirty sodas

Pan de mu**to is a staple of Día de los Mu***os. Its round shape represents the circle of life, the dough strips honor our ancestors, and its comforting orange blossom aroma is said to guide visiting spirits home. 🧡

We’ll have fresh, authentic pan de mu**to available at the event on November 1st from 12-4pm at the Kelowna Event Centre.

It’s time to dress up, paint those iconic faces, and celebrate tradition in style! Join our Catrina & Catrin Costume Contest at Día de los Mu***os 2026!

Whether you go classic elegance or vibrant and modern, we want to see your incredible attire on stage.

🎁 Prizes will be awarded for Best Male, Best Female, and Best Child costumes!

How to Enter:

Come dressed up in your best Catrin or Catrina attire.
Register for the contest at the Latin Voices tent when you arrive at the event.

The costume contest takes place on stage at approximately 3:00 PM
