Turning points: this is why we are here.

A man who's been living out of his van, travelling across North America for four years, wandered into The Chapel one morning. Over several weeks of conversation and Scripture, he started noticing "signs" of God's goodness everywhere. By his last visit, he was ready to surrender his life to Jesus before continuing his journey. He prayed with a Chaplain and accepted Jesus.

Two young women carrying heavy family burdens sat down with us one afternoon. Neither knew much about Jesus, so we shared the Gospel and the hope found in Him, and both chose to receive Jesus that day! They left with Bibles and prayer over their families.

During a quiet moment after a Thursday youth drop-in, a volunteer opened up about struggles she'd been carrying. After the Bible study about the woman at the well, as one of the Chaplains talked about who Jesus is and what He offers, she asked to receive Him as her Lord and Saviour. They prayed together, celebrated as a team, and sent her off with a Bible to begin her new faith journey.

God is moving at The Chapel! Please keep these new believers in your prayers as they grow in their faith.

Bible study

Praise the Lord for the Bible study: 45 kids. We opened up John 4 and sat with the woman at the well, the one carrying years of shame, rejection, and running from her past. Jesus didn't shame her. He saw her, spoke truth to her, and offered her living water that could satisfy what nothing else ever had.

And on top of that, a few of our kids asked to take a Bible home with them so they can keep reading on their own. That is the Holy Spirit at work. Please pray for these kids as they dig into God's Word this week. Seeds are being planted, and we get to watch it happen.

We've been quiet on social media, sorry! We've just been busy getting ready for our biggest fundraiser of the year, which is tomorrow.

Here's why it matters:

This week alone, we sat with a young lady who shared the pain of her home life and her tears. We walked through Romans 10:9 together, and she accepted the Lord in her life. We gave her a Bible to help start her journey.

We also prayed with a mom from Calgary, waiting here while her husband was at a conference. We prayed for her prodigal child with tears and hugs, and she came back the very next day to rest and read the Word.

These are just two small examples of being the storefront to the gospel in the marketplace.

This has been a busy week at the Chapel — the busy that reminds us exactly why we do what we do. 💛

With our big fundraiser just around the corner, it's easy to get caught up in the preparations and lose sight of the bigger picture. But this week, God made sure we didn't.

We sat with a teen who was struggling at home, trying to navigate a hard relationship with a parent. As the conversation went deeper, harder things came to light; there were tears, but there was also care, love, and truth. We got to remind this young person who God says they are.

And then two teens made the decision to give their lives to Christ. They asked for Bibles, and we got to watch them say yes to an invitation that will change everything.

So many people are walking through our doors carrying the weight of the world, searching for answers to life's biggest questions. Being a storefront for the Gospel means we get to be a place where people encounter real love and real truth not a performance, just the fruit of the Spirit lived out. And when they encounter that, they want more.

Praise the Lord for this place, and for the lives being changed here.

We are SOLD OUT!

We are so excited for this year's fundraiser and all the new people joining us! We look forward to the night: the testimonies, the auction, the fellowship- all of it!

This morning at The Chapel, we hosted our Focus on the Family Coffee Meet and Greet, and what a blessing it was!💙

It was such a lovely time to share, laugh, and connect with our community. Focus on the Family is such a wonderful ministry, and we're grateful for the chance to come together and build one another up in fellowship.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another." — Hebrews 10:24-25

Thankful for every face around the table this morning. These moments remind us why community matters. 🙏

We were honoured to be part of a truly special moment in the life of one of our youth. He has been part of our youth community for 3 years, and we were blessed when he invited us to his graduation two years ago. Now, we got to witness his baptism, and what a joy it has been to see how far he's come! Braden has walked closely with him through it all, and it's been beautiful to watch the community rally around him with love and support.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. We get to be a storefront to the gospel, a welcoming community for those who walk through our doors, but our heart doesn't stop there. We want to encourage everyone we meet to find a church family to call home, to grow deeper in faith, and to be surrounded by people who will walk with them every step of the way.

Watching the growth that God has done was nothing short of touching. To God be the glory! 🙌

A Rug That Told a Story and a Refresh That Feels Like Grace

For 12 years, our rug carried the weight of this ministry. Tears. Spills. Countless footsteps. This past year alone, over 17,000 people walked through our doors men, women, and children who were ministered to, loved, encouraged, and shown kindness, grace, and mercy.

That rug was worn. Every stain and every worn patch told a story a story of love poured out, day after day. But just like our own souls can get full of the dirt and clutter life piles on, sometimes we need a refresh to keep going.

We could never have covered the cost of a new rug on our own. But God knew, and He provided through Done Rite Flooring and a team of incredible men who gave of their time, their hands, and their hearts to bless this ministry.

To the men of God who showed up and served, and to Done Rite Flooring for your generosity, thank you doesn't feel like enough. You were an answer to prayer. You saw a need, and you met it, no questions asked.

This new rug isn't just flooring; it's a reminder that God provides, that His people show up, and that no act of service goes unnoticed by Him.
