This is just one story. One moment. One of many.

Every day at the chapel, we have interactions that remind us why we are here. Young people and many others walk in carrying things we may never fully understand, but they come, they sit, and they let us walk alongside them. They love having a place where someone genuinely listens. No pressure. No judgment. Just real conversations about real life.

This is just one example, shared by one of our incredible Chaplains who serves with us at the chapel.

We have just started our 40 for 40 Campaign, and we are looking for 40 donors who will give just $40 to keep the chapel open and these conversations alive.

Forty people to commit to giving 40 dollars a month for a year.

Today marks the last day of school, and we feel deeply blessed to have been part of so many of the kids’ stories at the schools around the mall. Whether they’re finishing for the summer or graduating into a new season of life, we celebrate each one.

We pray that all the people and youth will walk in the confidence and hope of Christ. That they continue to have the courage to live and learn boldly.

A verse for the kids as they enter into these summer months

Numbers 6:24–26 (NIV) — “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

A blessing for every child and student leaving school today, whether for summer or a new season of life:

May the Lord Christ go with you, wherever he may send you; may he guide you through the wilderness, protect you through the storm. May he bring you rejoicing at the wonders he has shown you. May he bring you through the summer or the next season, rejoicing, Amen.

40 for 40: Help Build the Next 40 Years

For 40 years, The Chapel in WEM has been serving the community with hope, prayer, encouragement, and practical support. As we celebrate this milestone, we're asking for your help to continue making a difference in the lives of those who walk through our doors every day.

The need is growing.

Our youth outreach alone has grown from 30–60 youth each week to 60–80 regularly, with attendance reaching as high as 118 youth in a single week. We are seeing more individuals, families, and young people seeking connection, support, and hope than ever before.

That's why we're launching our 40 for 40 Campaign:

💛 40 people giving $40/month for 12 months

and

💛 4 people giving a $400 monthly

then finally

💛 4 people giving a $4000 one-time gift

Your monthly commitment will help us continue our community outreach, youth outreach, chaplaincy services, volunteer support, and care initiatives that impact lives every day.

Our hearts are full of gratitude as we reflect on our 40th Anniversary Celebration.

To everyone who attended and shared this special evening with us, thank you. We were truly touched by the incredible support and warmth shown by so many friends, families, community members, and supporters. Seeing so many people come together to celebrate this milestone made the evening incredibly meaningful.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Kelly McCauley, MP; Lorne Dach, MLA; City Councillor Jon Morgan; and Councillor Thu Palmar, represented by Outreach Coordinator Ally McIntosh. We were delighted to have you join us, and your presence meant so much to our organization and community.

Celebrating 40 years is a remarkable milestone, and it was made even more special by everyone who came to share in the occasion. Thank you for helping us create such a memorable evening. Here's to the next chapter and the continued strength of our community!

Blessed Visit from Pastors Across Tennessee

We were truly blessed this week by a visit from a group of pastors who travelled from across Tennessee, led by our friend Nate from Church of the Valley, who also does mission work. Nate brought 11 pastors to the Chapel, and their presence was a true gift.

They listened intently to the Chapel’s mission, asked thoughtful and encouraging questions, and liked the mission statement of a storefront to the gospel in the marketplace. Their kindness and interest meant so much to all of us. They also laid hands on the Chapel and prayed over the Executive director and the ministry, an intimate, powerful blessing that was deeply felt.

Thank you, Nate, and thank you to the pastors who made the trip. We are so grateful for your prayers, your visit, and your encouragement. What a blessing!
