The colony had a Sprinkle Kindness Party this week! What’s that mean? Well, the beavers talked about what it means to be a “bucket filler” by completing small acts that fill someone’s joy bucket and avoid “bucket dipping” - acts that can harm or hurt. Beavers also shared with their groups, their acts of kindness from their kindness journals. Well done Beavers! Busy building tomorrow ❤️ .scouts

The beaver colony had a busy meeting getting messy in the kitchen with the Cubs! They made perogies from scratch! The youth made dough with a buddy and mixed it up with their hands, and then made cheesy potato perogy filling by mashing the ingredients in ziploc bags. Afterwards they rolled out our dough and all worked to assemble their perogies. Most youth got to take their creations home for a yummy dinner! Great work, Beavers! .scouts

Our and Beaver Colony joined forces this weekend at the for a sleepover adventure. The Beavers learned about animals like lynx, foxes, and owls, and Scouter Marigold ran a wonderful campfire after Mug Up. In the morning they learned about tortoises, gibbons (the only animal in the zoo with his own tv!), meerkats, lemurs and seals. A big to all the scouters who worked hard to put on this event and who made sure we ate tasty and healthy food to power us on our adventure. .scouts

The Blue Beaver Colony visited the Meadowlark Place Lodge to hand out holiday cards and decorate some ornaments with the senior residents this week. The Beavers and Scouters represented our group and Scouting wonderfully, and the residents had a wonderful time, too! One of the residents even shared his Scouting experience when he was a youth in 1954, which was amazing! .scouts

The had a weekend sleepover where the order of the day included Oreo face races, a raingutter regatta, and a cozy indoor “fire.” The Cubs had a great time, which is only possible with the structure offered by our awesome volunteer Scouters. Until next time! .scouts

’s Blue and Red Beaver colonies took to the auto-belaying skies at to work on some OAS Skills. What an awesome afternoon! Everyone did such a good job pushing themselves and supporting fellow beavers to climb as high as they could. They learned the finer points of how a harness works, what a carabiner is, and how to stay safe while climbing. .scouts
