2025 Leslie J. Cornwell Camp Leadership Award Recipient

As Camper Care Manager and Stream Supervisor, Jane's leadership is rooted in advocacy, inclusion, and creating a sense of belonging for every camper.

Jane's camp journey began as a camper and continued through roles supporting campers with disabilities. This summer, Jane helped campers and staff navigate challenges big and small, building confidence, connection, and joy along the way.

Whether supporting an individual camper or strengthening the camp community as a whole, Jane's impact is felt by everyone around them.

2025 Leslie J. Cornwell Camp Leadership Award Recipient

Sky's camp journey is one of growth, leadership, and a deep commitment to caring for others.

After serving as Health & Safety Manager at Camp Belwood and as a first-year member of the leadership team, Sky has since stepped into the role of Health & Wellness Manager at Camp Ki-Wa-Y. Known for their empathy, creativity, and care, Sky works to create welcoming environments that support both the physical and mental well-being of campers and staff.

Whether responding to challenges, offering encouragement, or helping others feel supported, Sky's leadership leaves a lasting impact on the camp community.

Outside of camp, Sky is pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Film and Television at Sheridan College. Camp has been a place of personal growth and connection, and Sky looks forward to remaining part of the camp community for years to come.

From camper to staff leader, Audrey's Waabanaki journey has come full circle.

Now serving in Training & Development, Audrey plays a key role in mentoring and supporting the next generation of counsellors. Through thoughtful leadership, encouragement, and genuine care for others, Audrey helps staff build confidence and grow into their roles.

Currently studying Concurrent Education at Queen's University, Audrey is passionate about helping others find their footing, just as camp once helped shape her own path.

Camp has always been an important part of Audrey's story, and she continues to give back by helping others discover the belonging, growth, and joy that camp can provide.
