Join us June 20th from 10 till noon for this free joint event.

Lawn games, FREE cold treats, a little library/reading area and Region of Waterloo staff will share FREE We All Belong Here campaign materials (e.g. buttons, stickers, posters, colouring pages). We All Belong Here campaign t-shirts and lawn signs will be available for sale.

As well, Westminster and Temple Shalom (The Cedars) are asking the question - What do you need? What can we do/provide in our community? The responses, to be written down on large sheets of paper, can help guide our two faith communities in determining the needs of the community we belong to.

Bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets to sit on and learn more about the We All Belong Here campaign and get to know your neighbours!

We received word that Rev. John Thompson died last week in Winnipeg. Our sympathies and heartfelt prayers are with his wife, Elenor, their extended family, his friends and colleagues from across the country, especially from Keewatin Circle and the Indigenous Ministries Circles.

A Celebration of Life Service and wake will take place on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Eternal Grace Funeral Home, 10-1111 Logan Ave., Winnipeg (Logan at McPhillips), after which he will be taken to Oxford House for burial.

According to records, John was ordained in 1971 and has been in ministry at Oxford House: Vernon Grieves Memorial United Church for many years. More details about John’s life and legacy will be shared later in the week.

After yesterday's ice storm the parking lot and sidewalks are treacherous sheets of ice.
The snow clearing company has been informed and will get out to do something about breaking up and melting the ice. In the meantime, everyone should please take extra care while walking on the grounds.
