Golf season has returned and so has our annual tournament! We are absolutely overwhelmed by the support we have received in the last few weeks as our tournament is already sold out! Please reach out to [email protected] if you are interested in becoming a sponsor or donating a raffle prize.

Next Monday (April 27) is another sew day! With golf season approaching we will be decorating tote bags for our annual tournament. Please bring any odds n’ ends to help make our golf bags unique!!

At Days for Girls Kitchener, we celebrate women and girls every day. But today, International Women’s Day, is a special opportunity to recognize the strength, resilience, and potential of women and girls everywhere.

At Days for Girls, we believe menstrual health is a critical part of gender equality. When girls have access to safe, sustainable menstrual products and education, they can stay in school, pursue opportunities, and participate fully in their communities.

Our local team is proud to support this mission through volunteering, working together to create menstrual kits, and raising awareness about menstrual equity.

Thank you to our amazing volunteers and supporters who make this work possible every day.

Together, we can help ensure every girl has the dignity, health, and opportunities she deserves.

Happy holidays, everyone! As this year comes to a close, we want to extend a huge thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors, and supporters. Thanks to your dedication, we sent out 1,023 kits this year—an incredible achievement! Our fundraisers were also a huge success and will directly support the kits we’ll be sending out in the coming year. As proud as we are of what we accomplished, we’re excited to strive for even more in the year ahead.

Our next sew day is January 12, and it will be an inventory day, so please remember to bring in any components you have so they can be counted.

With fall in full swing, Thanksgiving has led to some date changes! October sew days will be on the 6th and the 20th (first and third Mondays of the month). If anyone has snapping tools they could bring, that would help us greatly in adding snps to our shields. See everyone Monday!!!🧵🍁☕

So nice to see everyone back after a busy summer! Tomorrow we’ll be at Mannheim Mennonite Church from 9–2. Be sure to check our new whiteboard when you arrive to see what needs to get done - plenty of tasks for sewers and non-sewers. Don’t forget to bring along a snack and a mug for coffee!

We are taking a break from Monday gatherings so this video is from a month ago. Some of our sewers continue to work over the summer at home. Let me introduce Patti. She is going to explain the putting together of a kit for distribution. There is a 'standard' kit but some organizations prefer a custom one to suit the needs of the people they distribute to and we work with that. Thanks Patti for all you do.

This Monday is our last chance to get together before the fall. There is some prep to do for the golf tournament gift bags and those that wish to sew can do sew 😂. Come enjoy some strawberry treats....
