VBA organizes and supports the following activities:

* Tuesday night bluegrass jam weekly
* open stage/feature nights last Tuesday of every month (Sept thru May)
* instructional workshops
* special concerts
* young musician's bursary
* local bluegrass radio programming
* monthly newsletter

VBA is the association for you, if you want to:

* listen to and learn more about bluegrass music
* learn t

o play one of the traditional bluegrass instruments:
o guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, dobro, bass, voice
* play bluegrass music with like-minded individuals
* become involved in the bluegrass scene in Victoria

The Cowichan Valley Bluegrass Festival weekend was a super successful event. A special thanks to all the awesome organizers, dedicated volunteers, talented musicians, sound system magicians, faithful sponsors, happy festival goers and the heavens above for sunny, very warm and cloudless days and nights! Kudos to the Victoria Bluegrass Association for their volunteer role managing the huge volume of fans seeking merchandise for all the bands! A ten photo limit cannot capture it all so here is a glimpse of the a festival action!

Things to know: Please bring your own picking chairs as there are no armless chairs. Tea and coffee are available. A jam donation bucket will be set up with all proceeds going back to your hard working VBA!
