..also, almost as an afterthought: The Canadian Forces Snowbirds. Dallas Road. August 4th. 5PM. Just a little something we helped throw together. Maybe your last chance to enjoy a full aerial show from the iconic Snowbirds. But, Barely worth mentioning really. No biggie. 🇨🇦✈️✈️✈️ (It is a biggie and it's VERY worth mentioning.)

💙 Happy Father's Day from the Greater Victoria Festival Society! 💙

Today, we celebrate the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, father figures, mentors, and role models who help shape our communities and create the memories that last a lifetime.

They’re the ones carrying little ones on their shoulders so they can see the parade, holding tiny hands as they explore a festival, teaching us how to ride a bike, throw a ball, build something with our hands, or simply showing up when it matters most.

In many ways, fathers help build community the same way festivals and parades do — by bringing people together, creating traditions, sharing laughter, and making space for connection.

To all the dads who volunteer, coach, mentor, support, cheer from the sidelines, and help make our communities stronger every day, thank you.

We wish you a wonderful Father's Day filled with family, laughter, love, and a few great memories in the making. 💙

Small Town, Big Pride: Sidney Pride Festival turns five this Saturday.

What began as a humble sidewalk bake sale outside a Sidney hair salon has grown into a waterfront celebration drawing more than 3,000 people. Sidney Pride Festival returns June 13, 2026 at Beacon Park, 11am to 3pm, with live music, dancing, a family-friendly drag show, story time, food trucks, and 30+ q***r and ally vendors.

MP Elizabeth May and MLA Rob Botterell will open the festivities at 11am.

🌿 James Bay Community Market Saturdays 9am–3pm at Menzies & Superior. Fresh produce, local makers, good vibes. May–October.

🌸 Moss Street Market Saturdays 10am–2pm at Moss & Fairfield. Runs almost YEAR ROUND. A Victoria institution!

🎵 Esquimalt Farmers Market TWO locations! Thursdays at Memorial Park AND Mondays at Gorge Park with waterway views and live music. Winter market indoors too!

🌻 Metchosin Farmers Market Sundays 11am–2pm on Happy Valley Road. A true country market gem! 💎

🌙 Sidney Street Market TWO ways to shop! Thursday evenings on Beacon Ave

🌃 Oak Bay Village Night Market Once a month in summer. European-style with live music, street food, and local wine and craft beer.

🌾 Goldstream Station Market Saturdays 10am–2pm at Veterans Memorial Park, Langford. May to mid-October.

🥕 North Saanich Farm Market Saturdays 9:30am–12:30pm. June to October. Genuinely farm-fresh!

🎪 Peninsula Country Market Saturdays 9am–1pm at the Saanich Fairground. June to early October.

🌲 Sooke Country Market Saturdays 10am–2pm. Late April to mid-October. Worth the drive, trust us!

🏛️ Bastion Square Public Market A historic downtown gem! Perfect for art, artisan goods, and local flavour right in the heart of Victoria. Thursday-Sunday 11-5!
