Last week, we had the joy of gathering for our 49th AGM & Volunteer Celebration, a chance to reflect on another year of community impact and celebrate the incredible people who make it all possible.
We were especially proud to recognize our milestone volunteers, celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20, and even 30 years of service.
Thank you to Mayor Kevin Murdoch and District of Oak Bay for joining us in honouring these remarkable individuals whose dedication has strengthened our community for decades.
A heartfelt thank you to the many partners who helped make the evening so special.
We are grateful to Oak Bay Beach Hotel and Lumera Productions Inc. for their support with the venue and audiovisual services, Available Light Photography for capturing beautiful memories, Amber McMillan, The Feisty PM, for expertly emceeing the event, and Cascadia Strings, courtesy of Victoria Symphony, for providing wonderful music.
We also appreciate Victoria Symphony for generously donating tickets as a door prize.
We were also honoured to welcome Deputy Chief Constable Kris Rice of Oak Bay Police Department, who shared the announcement of a meaningful new collaboration between our organizations, grounded in a shared commitment to supporting connection, well-being, and safety in our community.
Events like these remind us of the extraordinary goodness that exists within our community.
We are deeply grateful for this beautiful community and for the privilege of working alongside so many compassionate people.
Thank you to everyone who helps make Oak Bay Volunteer Services a place where neighbours support neighbours and meaningful connections continue to flourish.
