🌿 Learning, Reflecting & Growing Together at the 5th Annual Métis Early Years Conference! 🧡
Last week, some of our SNP team spent All Staff Pro-D Day at the 5th Annual Métis Early Years Conference, hosted by Métis Nation British Columbia, and what a wonderful day of learning it was!
Throughout the morning and early afternoon, we explored topics such as burnout and the importance of self-care, incorporating Métis language and culture into our childcare practices, and the positive impact of cultural learning on children. 💚
In the afternoon, we had the opportunity to participate in different hands-on sessions. Some of us enjoyed a nature walk, others created puppets, and some took part in Michif language lessons!
It was a meaningful day filled with new learning, shared experiences, and opportunities to reflect on what we already know. We returned with fresh perspectives and ideas on how we can bring these teachings into our daily practices and continue creating welcoming, nurturing spaces where children and families can learn, grow, and thrive. 💛
A heartfelt thank you to Métis Nation British Columbia for hosting such a fantastic conference and inviting us to be part of this valuable learning experience!
